With a couple upsets in Alpha last game it should be very interesting to see how the end of the season plays out. A few more upsets and the playoffs picture might not be so clear.

I agree, there is 4 or 5 teams in alpha sitting at 10-4. and if all of them win out, teams ranked 3 through either 6 or 7 would all be 12-4...

The zeta playoff picture is equally murky.

The Samara Red Machine is the only team that can control their own destiny. They get an easy win against Crimson Water Buccaneers next game that will make them 7-8. Then they play the biggest game of their season against the red hot Kirvy Rig Killers. If they win, they get in the playoffs. If they loose, chaos ensues.

If The Samara Red Machine looses against the Kirvy Rig Killers then based on some reasonable assumptions the 8th playoff seed then will be very much in contention.

The next team to control their destiny at that point will be the Szeged Oilers. If they can win both of their remaining games, the first against the Zagrib Bling. Then the next one against the CPU Shea Bay team, then they will take the 8th seed. They have to depend on Samara loss to make the playoffs because Samara owns the tie breaking win.

But, if Szeged looses either of their 2 games they are out of the playoffs. If they loose to the Bling, then even if they win against the Kirvy Rig Killers the Bling will own the 7-9 tiebreaker. If they win against the Bling, and loose to the Shea Bay Panthers, then the Samara Red Machine wins the tiebreaker. If they loose to the Bling, they are out of the playoffs, even if they beat The Shea Bay Panthers.

Ok the 2 teams that can control their own destiny are taken care of. Now it gets fun.

IF we make the assumption that the Kirvy Rig Killers win out (likely)

Samara Red Machine will be 7-9 (win against Crimson Water Buccaneers, loss to Kirvy Rig Killers)
Purveyors of Faith will be 7-9 (A win against Red Star Leningrad, and a loss against Cobra Kai)
Zagreb Bling will finish 6-10 or 7-9 (A win against the Oilers, loss against Cobra Kai, )
Szeged Oilers will finish 6-10, 7-9, or 8-8 (Win/Win, Win/Loss, Loss/Loss)

That narrows it down to the Oilers vs Bling game.

If Samara beats Kirvy then they have locked the position, if they loose, then there is a Pandora's box that is opened. And we won't know how it ends until the last day.
