Methodology: These rankings utilize the Colley Matrix Method which utilizes only two factors: winning percentage and strength of schedule. While it is certainly possible to take other statistics into account to give more 'accurate' rankings, this method had the advantage of being very easy to implement and calculate.

That's because they don't factor in scoring 83 points off of weaker teams. It factors strength of schedule and who you won/lost to.

Power rankings just see who you play, not score. You can beat a 0-7 team 83-0 and it doesn't really matter. If you beat a good team you get points, so I guess that's why.

Well, I think it also has to do with the 7 teams you all beat losing games. Once they start losing games, your wins aren't as impressive and you lose ranking points.

Just so you know how tought Oceania A is, the two teams that moved up to last season to AA are #1 and #2 in the power rankings
