7-1 last week again, but I'm quite happy that the Maulers lost (no offense to you guys). There is still definitely plenty of time for upsets and drama surrounding who is going to get what seed in the playoffs as 1-4 are really close together and 5-8 are as well.

Arroz Con Pollo vs Cincinnati Cardinals: This is it folks, the game we've all been waiting for, the BIRD BOWL! Who will win, those cocky redbirds or sun-charged superchickens? My money is on the boys whose stomachs wish they were in Cuba. This is really the only good game this week and it ought to set the tone for the rest of the Card's season.
Prediction: Pollo by 10.

Vancouver Vikings vs Saskatchewan Thrashers: My mind is on the Cards game the Vikings have coming up after this one.
Prediction: Vikings by 95.

North Bay Drift vs Fort McMurray Mounted Police: The Drift is on cruise control for the rest of the season, just hoping that either the Vikings lose two or someone can put another loss on the Maulers or three losses on the Cards.
Prediction: Drift by 42

Manitoba Maulers vs Victoria Fish: The Fish have three tough games out of their last five, and this one looks to be the hardest. At 7th right now they need to probably pull one upset. This isn't gonna be that game, though. The Maulers are going to be coming into this one mad after losing to the Drift.
Prediction: Manitoba by 21.

Edmonton Thunderchiefs vs Fhockey.com Demos: Free day for Edmonton. Their HB is gonna have one hell of a game vs these guys.
Prediction: Thunderchiefs by 28.

Canada Dragons vs Alberta Irukandji: A freebie for the Dragons. We've got 4 cupcakes in this league. Coming into this season it looked like we were only gonna have 1, that makes me sad.
Prediction: Dragons by 24.

Rancho Penasquitos Thunderbolts vs Moose Jaw Roughriders: One of these two teams is most likely going to the playoffs to get beat by the #1 seed. Who is it gonna be? You both could use the money to build up those stadiums of yours.
Prediction: Rancho by 7.

Manitoba Lions vs Laval Crusaders: The Lions win a game!
Prediction: Lions by 80.

This is going to be a tough game. There is no doubt that the Cards have our utmost respect as a team and we hope to have a good showing against the number 1 team in the league. I don't know if I can agree with us by 10, but we will do our best to make it a competitive game.

4 Reponses? I'm not being witty enough, or maybe it was the fact that there was only 1 game decided by less than 37 points. And I got that 1 game wrong. Now we could go round and round about why I got that wrong. We could talk about the Chickens only getting a FG off of the turnover they got while the Cards scored immediately on theirs. I could lament that Arroz went for a FG on 4th and 1 when they were down by 7 with 34 and a half minutes left. But I won't. Instead I'll say that this was an excellent game played by two great teams and it looks like the Cards are ready for their end of the season gauntlet as they recently put it.

Yeah I think it was all the blowouts tbh. Tough loss for us. We were really hoping to pull that one out especially after you picked us :/

Arroz looks really tough these days. I wish we had faced them first instead of now.

Rancho ran into a bad matchup vs. Moose Jaw, because the teams are pretty even.
Moose Jaw needs an upset to get into the playoffs, either of Vancouver (yeah right)
or Arroz (lololol). Failing that, Moose Jaw needs Victoria to lose to either fhockey
or FMMP.

And sorry Chriztian, weekends are a bit tough for a lot of us to post...hell I do most of my posting during 8-5 during the weekdays when I am at work...LMFAO go figure!

I'm assuming you meant us going for a FG in the 4th with 4 mins left? DAMMIT we were tied at the end of the 3rd

What lost us the game was a Fumble that was returned for a TD, plain and simple...then our 3 incomplete passes in a row with less than a min left... Of course that fumble was in the 1st quarter, but still.

Otherwise, we had that game...Great game and props to the Cards for making it so hard to get anything in the air going, but....we will have our revenge...maybe another Round 1 "Mauler-esque" replacement from the playoffs? LMFAO (honestly I'm hoping we dont' drop to #8...just saying)

Good luck to the rest of the teams this season as most of us struggle to make the playoffs...and you teams on top, don't get to cocky...there are a lot of good teams here that are ready to take your asses out.

And yes, I'm bitter...I hate losing games we should have won.

IE, the drift game and this one now....seems like our team does just enough to stay competitive and then makes stupid easy mistakes that we don't do normally to lose big ones.

And honestly while it seemed mean, I was more or less pointing out that 4th and 1 thing there at the end so you could change up your AI to go for it in situations like that, if you wanted to.

Then I went and looked at what you said, and by GOD..I fucked that one up and we should have gone for it..fuck we kicked a 51.5 FG...props to my kicker for making it, but we should have gone for it and tried to tie it and go into OT.

So I thank you very much for pointing that out, I might not have seen it...and I"m the OC, so it hurts, because that's my baby.

We had a similar quirk against the drift...still trying to work these little bugs out that don't come up that often.

I know your pain as I do both the offense and defense for my team and things like that are killer. I had a bug in mine from about midway through last season until about halfway into this one that I had completely screwed up and was limiting my offense really badly.

I really should have pointed that out AFTER the game against you, but that wouldn't be sporting, now would it? And yeah, 34 was a typo.
