WTF? Why is Cologne calling timeouts with less than 2 minutes left in the OT and the opponent inside their 30? Why is Shetland going for a TD with 0:01 left in OT and the ball on the 0.5 yard line? Weird outcome.

In truth, I was very unhappy when I saw that this morning. I've been in my share of OT games, many of them with this Shetland team. In all previous instances, we or our opponent kicked FGs once well inside of FG range. And since I had not changed any OT settings since the beginning, something else had to have changed.
Twice this season the FG logical has been noticeably different from previous seasons. It cost us a game, but it was a scrimmage game, so I just "tried to understand" what was going on. If this had cost us this game, I'd be out hunting answers...answers it seems people don't want to give.

I think the glitch is that it was 2nd and goal. It seems that you would have had to put in a situational AI that would force you to kick a FG with under 10 seconds to go that would overide your 2nd and goal settings. Fortunately for you it dialed up a running play instead of a passing play.
To me the more troubling logic problem is cologne calling timeouts, when you were in field goal range. I don't know how to make that set differently

Yeah, the timeout thing is a problem. And I've noticed that it's a moving target too. Thing is this, I don't mind these things being worked on, trying to make the game better and all. I mind not knowing that it changed. Finding out by losing a game because the code is changed and the old settings aren't any good any more isn't the way to do it.
You are right, I wish we had some handle on when our teams called timeouts.
FYI, I don't know why we didn't try a FG at the end of the game, I have a setting under 30 seconds for outside range FG attempt, it's based on that specific situation. But instead it ran the ball???

I think for some reason the down (2nd) may have come into play. Check your under 30 second setting as to if it is for a particular down.
