Contenders after week 2: These are the teams that will be in the championship hunt. They are the teams that rank 45 or higher and should handle their business.
1 London Rippers 9-0 L1 They are still winning so here they stay. They are still on top and here they will stay…..The dismantled my Stallions reducing them to Ponies at best and then gave a similar drubbing to the Evil Empire…. They are the class of Zeta. They still have two tough games left on the schedule……Weeks 12 and 14 will be key for them…

2 Italian Stallions 8-1 : Well we laid an egg against the Rippers. They ripped us. The Stallions have quickly regrouped and are charging forward towards the playoffs. After the Rippers the Stallions took it to Prague and followed it up with a shutout win…. As a result they stay right were they are at #2.

4 The Evil Empire 7-2 Well Evil Empire was another team that fell victim to the Rippers. It was almost and identical score as the Stallions loss. They bounced right back taking Prague to the woodshed. 34-3 is a paddling. They move up as a result and look like they are ready to play with the big boys……

4 Prague Defenestrators 7-2 Man they have now dropped two in a row…. Rumors have it AIs are being scrapped and they are looking for a new system…. To me tweaks are more effective then the scrap heap but what do I know……They are still a top 4 team but drop down a notch. Weeks 13 and 14 will be key for this team.

Playoff bound teams: These are all teams that should make the playoffs. If they do not I would be shocked. They might drop a few places in the rankings here and there but should be playoff bound.
5 London Pulse 6-3 Pulse is right were they should be. They are solid.. They can take it too the lesser teams but not really ready for prime time…. They cake walk into the playoffs in the #5 spot IMHO… They might even steal a game late in the year… Watch for weeks 12 and 13 for them to challenge the big dogs…. I think they will take 1 of those 2.

6 Lisbon Crusaders 7-2 These guys have a better record than the pulse and are a 6 game winning streak. The only problem is that most of those wins have come against weak teams. They are beating the teams they should but can they continue this once the schedule turns ugly…. 5 tough games down the stretch.. This makes their schedule is one of the toughest of the teams in contention… Still they make the playoffs.

The Bubble has expanded..It now includes more teams.. .some have moved up some have moved down... Some are gone entirely to the bottom..... All these teams are in the middle... They have beaten each other and the lesser teams but have yet to break through. They all have tough schedules down the stretch. This is where the action will be IMHO
7 Manchester Divided 6-3 Can this team get back on track.. They have a tough schedule down the stretch… It is going to be a tough road in the next 6 weeks… Can they beat even competition or even steal a win? I think they could easily fall to #8 or move up to #6… They have to show that they can win the tight contests..

8 Borum Hill Treble 3-2 This team is a solid group but simply cannot hang with the best of the league. They were held to under 100 yards by the Stallions. Another team with a tough schedule down the stretch. I think that they will squeak in a #8

9 The FResH PiMps of Bel Air 5-4 These guys are the movers and shakers of the conference. They have it rolling with a 4 game in streak.. They have worked their way into the playoff bubble. They face a tough schedule too here but they might be able to crack that playoff nut… My hats are off to these guys they did not stay at the bottom and sulk they put together a competitive team out of nothing.

The Rest: If you are down here you know why. I will expand coverage of these teams as the rosters fill out and as we play some games but for now you guys are in the basement.
12 Phi Kappa Leesburg 3-9 This team has dropped to the best of the rest.. They are not ready to compete with the best of this league. They will have a hard time making the playoffs IMHO… They could turn it around but will it be too little too late?

13 October Wildfire 2-7 As the losses mount thes guys keep dropping. 5-0 Pushes these guys to the bottom…. Keep on chugging and building properly…. There is always season 8 to look forward to.

9 Matterhorn Marmots 2-7 Roller coaster is over looks like they have season 8 to look forward to.. Keep build and learning… It take time.

10 Reykjavík Polar Bears 2-3 These guys are dropping faster than the value of President Bush “Mission Complete” T-shirts….. It is over for these guys this year. They like so many in the US look forward to a new administration.
