What?

(airplane noise)

I guess it must be I cant fire the mind up while watching the WVU @ Georgetown game.

That's the only time WVU has finished a season undefeated (They went on to lose the National Championship deciding Fiesta Bowl to Notre Dame).

WVU finds ways to lose to awful Pitt Panther teams when they have one of the top teams in the Big Least.

If you want to criticize or make fun try to get your information correct. In 1993, WVU finished the reg. season undefeated 11-0 with Jack the snake as their QB (along with Darren Studstill). Its pitiful that someone that went to WVU (so he claims) doesnt know more about them. Winning 4 straight bowl games, of which two of them BCS games clearly rebuts your statement they dont know how to finish a season.

Oops, yes you are right, I forgot about the 1993 season. My gripe was because of the Pitt Game they lost a couple of years ago and then turned around and beat UGA in a bowl game. They should have been playing for a national title but Rodriguez blew it.

Well that much we agree on. A lot of things went wrong that game that could easily be blamed. It did seam as if only 5-6 offensive plays were called all game long, an epic failure on his part. Michigan fans are going to find out that the man is an innovator and is great with X's and O's but he lacks the personal skills (humility, ego, attitude, etc) that will ever make him a successful college coach. Honestly, if he can convince someone in the NFL to be head coach he would be better served there, as long as he has an OC calling plays.

The biggest game in the history of the school and they choke at home to Pitt. The nation will always pity WVU because of that game and, sadly, that was probably as good as it will ever get for that program.

Once again, playing for a national championship vs ND will far outweigh playing in the 100th aniversary game of the backyard brawl and losing to Pitt. There have been many "biggest" games in WVU history, all of which are subject to ones opinion, but the bottom line is with the current BCS setup, its not hard to fathom that they will get another shot at playing for a national championship in the near future.

If I were you, I would worry about pissing on the fires burning from your team as it implodes and leave the shit talking to someone with nothing on their plates like the guys currently running roughshod through the EC.

WV playing for the NC sometime soon? Not until the Big East gains more clout. Right now the ACC champ and Big East champ are doomed to play each other in a BCS game no one in Florida cares about.

Of course a perfect run will yield a spot. (As long as your in a BCS confernece, sorry Utah, join the PAC 10.)

It's the SEC's bowl game to lose. They will get the benefit given recent dominance. Can even throw the Big 12 in there because the conference championship gives those teams another huge win.

I dont think Big East has one? And the ACC champ is a joke.

That wasn't just the 100th anniversary of the BYB. it was a cakewalk to a national title game with WV supposedly having the most talented team in the country. It was a defining moment, all alone on national TV with the whole country watching.......and WVU grabbed their ankles against a massively inferior opponent in their own yard. As for the future of WVU and the Big East, aariafromarty hit the nail on the head.

As for HH, the only fires & implosions are in your head. There was one squeaky wheel (isn't there always) who has now been released. Things are going fine - just the way we want them actually.

In the essence of full disclosure, the Mountaineers are my pick to win it all. In fact, the knowledge that we couldn't beat you & E'ci was a driving force behind us reinventing the wheel. It will be interesting to see if you guys follow through or choke like WVU when it matters most.

LOL all I am saying is WVU running through the BE and going undefeated is a far greater likelihood then Florida or any other SEC team doing so and taking WVU's spot in the title game. I think we can all agree with that one. This will happen in the near future because unlike Rich Rod we will have top 20+ recruiting classes year in and year out. Just look at scout.com right now and you will see WVU is the top BE team in recruiting and by a long shot. Talent is talent and it will need to translate onto the field but we already have that reputation.

As for your comment about us choking, I dont think that's an accurate comparison as we already have ourselves a championship trophy. Choking on the second one is not the same as choking in the BYB. Nice attempt though, I will give you partial credit for effort.

It would be far more likely that an undefeated WVU would take the spot of a 1-loss Big-10, Pac-10, or Big-12 unless one of those teams is USC, Ohio State, Texas, or Oklahoma. Given the SEC's recent dominance in title games, I don't see anyone from any non-bcs conference taking a spot from a 1 loss SEC team unless that team somehow played a schedule with some top-ten opponents.

Looks like they play AT Auburn and at home vs East Carolina as far as non conference goes.

thought I'd just throw this out there !

Mobile, AL. (Jan. 24)---Pat White grew up watching the Under Armour Senior Bowl from the stands at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Saturday night, in front of an announced crowd of 38,796, the Daphne, Ala. native was the one everyone was watching after an MVP performance in a 35-18 South victory. The former West Virginia star accounted for 126 yards of offense and one touchdown, a 39 yard toss to Mike Wallace in the third quarter.

Word, Son !
