Game of the Week:
Warriors of Anubis (8-1) vs. Zulu Death Warriors (6-3)
Matchup of the past 2 Winners of A2 Lion conference has some serious implication of playoff seeding. Zulu has one of the most difficult remaining schedules in the conference with only 2 opponents with records below .500 and is going to need a victory here if they want any chance at a home playoff game. The Warriors on the other hand are looking to gain some momentum into their next game against another 8-1 team, Sierra Leone. The Warriors currently have the best scoring offense and defense in the league. Zulu hasn't adjusted well to this league passing defense and are going to have a hard time doing it against the Warriors great secondary, which means that they'll have to get ahead early and hold it in order to win this one, which is a lot to ask.
WoA 31 - Zulu 20
Sierra Leone Syndicate vs. Cote d'Ivory Rebels
As everyone already knows Sierra Leone is coming off a big win last week against Freetown that put them in first place in the conference. The Rebels are looking to make a push for the playoffs, but it won't be happening today, TSLS just has too much firepower for them to overcome.
Syndicate 45 - Rebels 20
Burundi Hutu vs. Freetown Palookas
I'm sure Burundi isn't happy with their 3-5 record and are looking to turn their season around soon to make a run at the playoffs. The problem is that they're going up against 8-1 Freetown. Freetown on the other hand is coming off their first loss of the season and are looking to take out some frustration on their next opponent, at least what they call taking out frustration.
Burundi 32 - Freetown 41
Carthaginian War Elephants vs. Red Sea Wave
After a history of success, Carthage is now fighting for a playoff spot with several other teams after the loss to Morocco. The Red Sea Wave have by far the best passing attack in the league while Carthage has had difficulty stopping it at times. I don't think Carthage's offense can keep up with the Wave's.
Carthage 30 - Red Sea Wave 55
Congo NLG vs. Band of Brothers
Remember that one episode where Lt. Speers is accussed of the PoW massacre? Well it was true, but it wasn't PoWs, it was Congo NLG.
Congo 0 - BoB 201
African Fire vs. Morocco Loco Siroccos
The Fire have been around for a while, but have lost all of the big games they've gone into and after gettting smacked by BoB and the Congo Lions in back to back weeks I just don't see them turning it around against Siroccos who look to keep the ball rolling after a huge win last week against Carthage, who has had their number in the past.
Fire 27 - Morocco 58
Madagascar Black Mambas vs. Congo Lions
These two teams know each other well from A1, meeting twice in the regular season and in the second round of the playoffs last year, with Congo taking all of the wins. Both teams have difficult schedules remaining and this game could keep one of these teams out of the playoffs at the end of the season. Madagascar prefers to dictate games with their defense and running game, while Congo likes to air it out with the passing game and outscore their opponents, rather than keep them from scoring.
Madagascar 20 - Congo 34
Atlantic Blue Jays vs. Kilimanjaro Kamikaze
Its Kili against someone other than Congo NLG, what do you think is going to happen? At least they'll keep putting points on the board.
Atlantic Blue Jays 122 - Kili 10
