Thank you

personally, I would keep rolling for a piece with Protector, Absorb Pain, or Foundation (preferably Protector)

but if I was gonna choose between these, I would take the +2 vision +1 Quick Cut. It would help you out with Pass Rushers.

Forgot to mention I have one piece of protector I was looking for a second when I got a roll for the quick cut and was pretty intrigued .

Unless you already have 48 bonus tokens stored up and $700k, you won't get your quick cut up over +3, which isn't really that huge of an improvement. If you were planning on getting 2 pieces of AEQ with QC, that would be a different story, but since you already have a protector piece, I'm guessing you don't have the bonus tokens nor the desire to build that direction.

Hold out for another protector piece or something that will add to the SA's you already have access to, like Absorb or Foundation like lux said above.

yeah any additional SAs that aren't already in your tree won't be useful at a max of +4. IMO I would look for shock block, get low or foundation, if you already have protector. Shock Block would be preferable.

If you had to choose 1:

+3 Blocking, +1 Foundation SA
OR
+1 Protect SA

That depends on your target build. Assume you value protect and foundation to 9 each, and you have a pass block custom. Also assume the opportunity cost for blocking is 4:1, as I'm assuming you took blocking to 68 and stopped there. Who cares what natural gains took you to, the opportunity cost was when you decided to stop spending, so at 4:1.

That's an immediate 12 SP the first gets you.

The SA tree will look like

x-x-8-x-8.

With AE, you'll only need the 8 to be a 4.

Protect: 2-4-8-2-4
Foundation: 1-2-4-4-8

value difference: protect piece costs... (1 extra, 4 extra, 14 extra, 4 less, 18 less) = 3 less.

So the foundation piece saved you 9 SP in achieving your goal of 9 protect, 9 foundation, and 3 more points in blocking. The protect piece did bring you extra pass block, shock block, and less absorb pain in prereqs. I'd value absorb pain at nothing, but it did net you 5 SPs saved in pass block and shock block, which are arguably good pieces.

----

Math'D. If you want protect and foundation high, and that blocking means something to you, the foundation piece is better.
If you're satisfied leaving foundation lower, the protect piece holds far more value.

If you have a good build, I'd take the first. You'll have enough SPs down the line to get protect up anyways, but that 3 blocking is something that really becomes intangible down the road, as you are unable to revisit blocking due to its high cost.

Not to mention, you can always keep shopping and find another protect piece, I get them once a week or so for my OT (if not more, every 4-5 days?). Gobble up the +3+SA while you can, and build both up

I think thats a very decent piece for a young ROT . From what I hear Pass protect is quite nice for ROT's since they dont get protect . The str seems very nice from the way the sims are working this season so far as far as that attribute . I would buy it in your position . Is it an end piece probably not but will it work well until you find better definitely

you'll get this at any level, and a lot. I found pieces like this every 4-5 rolls at low level OT. Don't cream your pants just yet, but its a good starting equip.

For a LOT that already has a piece of Protect, should I go with a a piece of AEQ that has a + in a good run blocking SA or a + in a good pass blocking SA?
