well technically it's pointless to add to it until the playoffs start since it's doesn't help any more if you add to it day 1 or day 32, but it does seem good.

I've been holding on to points on most my players. If the individuals get to the playoffs, I'll boost Heart of a Champion. If not, I'll boost something else and build up next season with the same strategy.

Thats a huge difference... HOC is one of the Beast VAs if you get in the playoffs, worthless if you miss.

I'd rather have Hometown hero. +1 confidence for all home games (.5 loss for non-home games). If you get home field advantage throughout the play-offs, you are set, especially if you add HoC and essentially double the amount of confidence you get.

If Hometown Hero is going to make the difference between getting in to the playoffs and not, then you're going to be playing away games throughout the playoffs.

I did the math and I think kickers/punters will generally do better with the +1% all of the time, as if you have a 65-70 natural then you are only losing .3 during the playoffs but gaining .7 for the 16 games you are in. And since regular season affects playoff seeding, I think the regular season boost wins out.
This is a good topic and it did take me a few minutes to figure out which way to go for my punter.
