Not bringing my team here in top notch condition. I didn't recruit because I haven't had to recruit since season 4. But I had quite a few people leave this offseason and it slipped my radar, and now we're screwed with depth. I am rectifying it now, but it's too late to change my past scores. Hopefully we can play some of those teams again in the playoffs with better results.

Also a tidbit of knowledge I learned this season... who am I kidding I'm not going to give you my knowledge!

In all seriousness though, I hope to be able to give you guys a good season still, and next season I'm going balls to the wall recruiting again. And you will all suffer. Except the teams that get promoted/demoted. Lucky bastards.

Yeah I wish you luck with the recruiting. I have had very limited success in the last couple of years.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. It doesn't matter who you go after or if you satisfy all their wants/needs, the brand of "only being in AA" is a killer. Good luck.

Well I've had success with other teams drafting players for lower leagues. I haven't had to try for my team yet however. Hopefully my recruiting tactic of offering a million real life dollars works.... just don't tell them I'm poorer than dog snot.

Recruiting is a pain. I love the agents who give you the 'Your team is #1 on my list" and then hit you with 'Sorry but my player will be signing elsewhere'. Then there's the guys who committed their player to another team 25 days before he hit the free agent market. Eventually this game will need some sort of draft system in place due to owners demanding it. It's inevitable IMO, especially with more and more teams being added each season.

I hate recruiting, it's hard trying to get guys to see your vision if it is planning for the future. Luckily several of the key position guys on my team are my friends so we can talk and game plan.

Yep, it's about networking and familiarity. Rarely do you see elite free agents sign outside of a friend, co-gm, teammate network unless it's with a Pro/aaa team. I can't blame them as bad owners are at the root of the problem.

But there's some good, quality agents out there as well who don't just go for the buddy network, pro's/aaa's or big bucks and genuinely just want to play and help a team win games/championships. If there's one cool thing about recruiting, it's when you come across one of those type of agents and can add them to your squad.
