Micronesia is above Hawaiian Dolphin Warriors in both O and D on these rankings but we beat them....

These rankings don't mean you're better then said team.

I agree wholeheartedly. These are simply NFL type statistical data from our first six weeks. So they don't really say much about who is the better team and this is especially true when you compare where the stats came from. The only true measure of which team is better is a playoff game, period! All other games are simply a way to find out what you will need to do in the playoffs. Those who spend tons of time gameplanning for scrimmages and even regular season games usually find that their playoff opponent plays much better than they saw in their scouting reports.

Sorry Shaffer, you will only see our top game if you happen to make it to the championship game, just ask last season's Alpha representative how it works in a championship game.

That wasn't a dig at Micro what so ever. You guys are a solid team and we would have probably lost to you last season as well in the championships. We made a few major upgrades this offseason that let us beat you in reg season.

These two just love taking digs at eachother lol. One says look at these stats, the other says "oh yea well look at the preseason game"... both of which mean fuckall. They should schedule a friendly and be done with it lol.

I will say this, both of our teams (HDW and Micro) or playoff caliber teams IMHO and either one of us can beat the other on any given day. You guys won in regular season because you guys made plays and better adjustments to the new changes than we did. As a matter of fact, I have to personally take the blame for that loss as I loaded the defensive AI from our championship game by accident and it had way too much Goalline defense in it. This was really silly as you guys are primarily a passing team.

Here are a few key plays in this game where my own CB went into lala land (due to a bug) and gave you guys three easy TD's:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=296255&pbp_id=1630896

And here is where Bort fixed this bug the very next day:

Jan 02, 2009
- Update to CB zones on goal line defense play, to move them further out and cover WRs if there are any

Does this mean that I think we should have won the game if it wasn't for the bug? Nope, the bug is part of the game and it could have just as easily gone for us as it did against us, so both teams had to play by the same rules. But what it does prove to me is that you cannot necessarily say that your team (or my team) is better than another team just because you won a regular season game against them early in the season. By playoff time these bugs will be gone and the best team with the best builds and gameplans (and a little luck) will win. Which is why we don't spend a lot of time gameplanning for these early season games, they simply are a complete waste of time and my time is better spent trying to evaluate how the new changes will affect my players and how I can best change my team both from a player standpoint and a gameplan standpoint to put us in a better position to win the highly important playoff games. This is just my own philosophy and how I GM/manage our team. This philosophy allows us to not get stressed out (much) during the regular season but have fun with the new changes and if we make the proper adjustments, should put us in a good position to make the playoffs and be a very tough team to beat.

Tigers only give up so many points because of the stupid cruise control, and we let our cheerleaders play in the 4th quarter (helps concession income)

Yeah we had the same problem. I personally don't like it but I guess it keeps worse team owners from getting too disheartened.

Cruise control would be better if injuries were implemented and it reduced their chances of occurring.
