Has anyone tried one? I'm thinking along the lines of first cap only, with plenty of blocking and agility. Since the predominant theory of linebackers and ends (and some DTs) is that strength really doesn't buy you too much, I'd think it could work.

I'm actually asking for my fullback, but I don't think anyone's even thought of a low strength FB.

FB I don't think it'd be as valuable. Most FB's just want to run over the guy in front of them.

We have a low STR OT on one team I GM and he does just fine. My lvl 35 is just now getting to 3-1 STR and hasn't given up a 1 on 1 sack since season 5.

It is a must at C and RG because of NT builds that don't follow the spd/agi path of the rest of the players.

As for the other linemen, having strength allows you a major edge against spd/agi in the blocking roll. Say you're only 20 behind on spd/agi but 40 up in str. Then you break even if everything is included in the same proportion. Using a similar framework, strength can really help a lineman keep those rushers at bay.

I have one. A LG that I was going to completely skip on strength but I changed my mind and will be capping it at my next level. I got blocking past the 4:1 and will be in the middle of the 5:1 by level 22 not including eq of course. So far so good. When he was in the D league last season he bounced from LG to RG as he leveled. There was one good matchup vs a NT with an open build. I think at the time I had 69 or 70 in blocking with eq and the NT had like 75 to 80 strength with eq. I can't remember the exact numbers but I was impressed as my guard was able to block the NT in the run game and passing game. At the time my G had 24 strength. That number I remember for sure as it was the amazing part.

The funy thing is if nothing changed from last season to this season I probably would not have needed to cap strength. Strength made a small comeback this season for all builds. I think it had to do with all the vet abilities. In order to make them work some things had to get unnerfed.

linemen have to have str. It helps in the run game when you have the str to push a defender backwards. i guess tackles could get away with lower str.

I have a level 17 OT w/ 3rd cap Blocking and Agility and like 22 strength and he's been doing just fine.
