If i'm playing a team with a high-sacking pass rush from their RDE, and I want to rush to the inside left, can I use a weaker LOT so that the DE actually overshoots minimizing his shot the runner?

I think you'd be more successful having a high str + high 'get low' build to just shove the DE out of the picture. with enough blocking to hold your block as the back goes by. If that DE gets around you, he'll just cut back in and get a TFL half the time

plus DEs generally have high vision so they'll see shortest path anyway

yeah if your that focused on the run you might want to go with a higher STR LOT and do more max protect on the pass downs to make up for it.
