Yeah that screen out of the singleback set killed you. I was watching the replays from your last 2 games (close losses to 2 of the top teams in the Africa AA3) and I felt the 3-2-6 cover 1 left the Screen open for exploitation. For some reason your SS can't make up his mind whether to go with the TE or pickup the HB out of the backfield... so he goes after the CB?
At any rate, I was real worried about this one and I can't say I'd like to do that one over again. Just like 2 of our other wins, I'll take the W and scuttle away because the random generator has to fall the other way eventually.
Great game on your part, no doubt.

3 dime is just one of the ploys we used. but that's not the play that killed us its was the ridiculous amount of missed tackles from good angles
the CB4 blitz was designed to cover the flank too to mix in amongst the blockers as an attempt to confuse the OL - we've seen you guys play it too
i was quietly confident that we would beat you but to lose from the same play stinks. i just feel like playing that and WR screen each and every play for the other teams i OC.
i am not a happy customer

I will say that you made good adjustments after last game. You left the HB open on the HB wheel so I ramped up it's percentage a bit for this game and you had him covered well each of the times I've seen thus far (the MB and RO went with him out of the backfield).
And Rax has 100 str and fair amount into bruiser and both "break tackle" SAs. Its not difficult to think the CB would fail in open space.
I do agree though that it sucks to be beaten on one play, for all intents and purposes. It's like the Strong I pitch last season. Unfortunately Bort has at least 5 plays that are "unstoppable" so to speak. They can be countered by solid gameplanning but then that usually leaves you vulnerable to something from that same set.

tell me about it
SB is a tough formation to cover completely without leaving something open, if its not the screens, its the slams or the wheel. the day Bort implements some kind of adaptive AI will be a day i rejoice. til then i guess i'll be sticking to a few bread and butter plays
as good a game our match was, my stomach churned and my avatar went a nasty shade of green as it game played out
GL for the rest of the season and i really hope we get to have another shot at you guys.
