Mean Gene Okerlund holds microphone aloft, picking up the unmistakeable sounds of the respirator mask

Mean Gene: Darth Pinky, you've been holding on for two seasons for another regular-season shot at the Silverbacks - what have you got to say?

Hello Vader: It is time for us to reveal our true nature... the truth that can only be revealed through the Force.

Hello Vader holds fingers close together in that force choke thingy. Mean Gene watches, expecting something. Nothing happens. Mean Gene clears his throat.

Mean Gene: Revealing anything yet?

Hello Vader I'm working on it.

Hello Vader's hands begin to tremble, as if he is exterting much force beneath the pink and cream-colored freak suit. The breathing from under the plastic mask becomes slightly erratic.

Mean Gene: Darth Pinky, are you okay?

Hello Vader, panting: Gimme a second. breathing slowly returns to normal Okay, I'm good. Where was I? Oh, yes... true nature, blah blah. Fat Danny. Fat Danny, nobody ever told you about your daddy, did they?

Mean Gene: Darth Pinky, are you saying -

Hello Vader, in that "Darth on the Bridge" voice: Fat Danny, who's your daddy?

Hello Vader whirls, the cream-colored capes swirling, revealing the surprisingly inappropriate thong back of the codpiece beneath, as he exits. Mean Gene gives his "Yeah, that just happened" post-interview look.

Mean Gene:
You heard it right here, ladies and gentlemen - Darth Pinky has thrown down the gauntlet for Fat Danny and the Silverbacks in this rematch with the Ashanti Empire next week at the Stade in Ghana - You Won't Want To Miss It!

if you put this much effort in to game planning that you did for that post, we do not stand a chance. looking forward to this game. ghana has always been a formidable foe. in many ways, your team reminds us of us, only one year behind.

Well, well - Another classic in the makings. Other than our scrimmage last year, we haven't seen much of you. Hopefully you have been taking notes, my young paddawan. You have learned much about the GBL force it seems.

So far, no one has gotten closer to us than 25 points. But I see a rough stretch coming up. Nothing left to do but dive in. Well, here goes nothing......................

We used WR and HB screens, I'm not ashamed to say it. Some teams cover it well, some teams don't - I don't like using them as an "exploit" and rarely ever employ them. I did see in scouting that they were susceptible to both, so I had a small percentage set up in good down/distance situations. Usually, teams that get beat with screens quickly fix it, so I didn't want to go overboard. When they don't work, you can count on a 0.5 yard gain or loss, which does nothing for a drive.

I guess we were a little lucky - and unlucky - to have hit those percentages that frequently. While we scored on a few of them, I certainly don't run an exploit type of offense and by no means expected that level of success. Regardless, we did our research and gameplanned quite a bit for this, it was a statement game and we've had a couple of tough outcomes this season that I wish would have gone another way. Just like everyone in this forum, I hate to lose.

Plus, Eric scares this piss out of me when he's mad. You guys don't see our private forum. Don't let that impressive vocabulary and respectful aura fool you. He's a mean SOB.

In any case, good game.

we too use the screens for the odd occasion but often they'd go for a couple of yards for and against us, just not today it seem. i was pretty surprised to see it work so well against one of the better sides, like Zambezi, though.

i'm quite a placid fella myself but my ears are burning red and my eyes feel like they're being gouged out with a red hot spoon after seeing the SIM making us falter today

Not bad for a team some consider to be a "year behind" Zambezi. Good job Eric and crew.
