FRESNO FIRE (3-0) AT ALLEN ZEPHYRS (1-2 / CPU)
Thirty-something CPU players won't cut it against Fresno.
The Fire walks away with 24th in a row 135-0
ACTUAL: FRESNO 124-3

THE MILITIA MINUTE MEN (0-3) AT NBGTX TORNADO HUMPERS (3-0)
Humpers take it easy on the Militia, 250-0.
(more seriously though, these guys are throwing it all over the yard - we haven't gotten the pressure I'd like. Need to find something to exploit in their defense to get offense clicking ro else we could just be a bunch of wind.)
ACTUAL: NBGTX 101-0

RENO MARAUDERS (2-1) AT LA MAJORS (2-1)
LA struggled with Bay Area but got somethign going last week. Reno, meanwhile, took care of an Olympia team that people were eyeing in preseason.
Reno cashes in over the Hollywood set - 44-6
ACTUAL: LA MAJORS 40-16 Sometimes the messages from the football gods get turned around...

PONTIAC WAR KITTENS (2-1) AT RIDERS ON THE STORM (1-2)
Me-Ouch! Kittens take down the Riders and steal their saddles.
Pontiac 77-3
ACTUAL: PONTIAC 163-0

OMAHA MAVERICKS (2-1) AT JACKTOWN SMACKDOWN (1-2)
Common opponent (SJ) points the way of the Lonesome Dogies. Jacktown got in the win column last week, but Omaha is better than DC.
Stickgin with the Beefy Boys, 38-17
ACTUAL: JACKTOWN 28-10 Omaha is still better than DC, got that part right at least.

OMAHA INVADERS (0-3) AT OLYMPIA DOLLAR NINETY NINES (2-1)
Olympia will come out looking like a million ninety nine in this one.
Olympia 139-0
ACTUAL: OLY - 120-0

BAY AREA BASTARDS (0-3) AT SAN JOSE CHUPACABRA (1-2)
Los diablos muerten los bastardos.
San Jose 42-7
ACTUAL: SAN JOSE 33-21

DC SONICS (0-3) AT CNCINNATI STALLIONS (0-3 / CPU)
What a lame effort this write up has been. Apologies to all, but congratulations to DC for getting a W.
DC is out of the cellar 23-20
ACTUAL: DC SONICS 62-13

6-2 This week, not bad but the misses were pretty big. Hats off to my underdog winners!

We played the LA Majors in Week 1 and let me tell you that is a good team - very underrated - they have a solid defensive team

Thanks for the kind words. We knew we were in for a tough one when we saw we got you guys for opening week. You totally shut down our run and we like to think that Mr. Campbell is a pretty good RB. There are a helluva lot of very good teams here. We are hoping to just make the playoffs this season and improve from there.

Y'know, we've been fortunate to have been in two good leagues - our BBB group had a good group of guys and I'd say A1 is probably even better. Guys are into the game, some smack, but nothing out of line. Now if only recruiting would make more sense...

Remember you guys from the first few seasons of BBB#2-For a BBB league, especially in the early days, there were some very tough teams.

Sorry, we take the 'Cubs of GLB' title. 1 and out 4 seasons in a row now in the playoffs, inlcluding the 80 yard TD pass in the closing seconds to lose it against Columbus two season ago (after holding them to 30 yards passing up to that point in the game).
