Being higher lvl is an advantage last time i checked.

Well it CAN be. The thing is that when older players were created, game mechanics were different and their agents didn't have as much knowledge as they had later on.

A guy like my CB Lyght (created season 1 day 29), who boosted 3x when he was created and 3x at the start of season 2, is hardly superior to one created 3 seasons later but boosted late...

young > old

That doesnt make any sense. What you are saying will strictly affect his lvl, not effectiveness in comparison to lvl. Older players had more SP to assign and much more time to train.

What you are saying is that build > lvl, which is true. But you seem to assume that every old players is build poorly, and every young player is build superbly. There is a reason everyone wants to recruit lvl 40+ players and not lvl 26

I would take my level-23 CB over my level-39...

Try to get any of the other guys here with a lvl 39 CB to go for that trade...

What you are saying is that better players > worse players, and i really dont think anyone disputes that

No. I was just saying that you were wrong when you implied that veteran players 'had the edge' over younger ones.

Then why arent ppl recruiting younger players? A lot more of them

Poorly built old players suck, yes. So does poorly built young players. I get what you mean that super slow built teams like DD are insane for their lvl. But to say that older players at this level of competition doesnt have an edge on younger players, i dont get. The poor built senior players should have been pretty much weeded out by now, and to my knowledge there arent any super slow built teams here.

What your neglecting is the fact that most of the 35+ guys on the higher level teams didnt boost their players till the end of the seasno either. The advantage of slow built teams is not throwing the SP's into the build and hence getting larger training and level up bonuses. If you didnt do that then your on the exact same trail as everyone else in this league. Higher levels generally have more SP's into their build, and regardless of where they are placed (as long as they are relevent to the build) that makes a better/more complete build than a lower level.

DD game in a dominated because they had built every single one of their players to do just one thing, and used a minimum amount of plays. Their team cohesion is one that cant be matched in all of GLB and proportionately to their level and competetion they probably have the most efficient and effective offense in all of GLB.

Meh, I started and then gave up. I dont want to spend 2 hours tonight compiling a decent set of Power Rankings. Lion was going to be a pain in the ass to do and would have required quite a bit of research. I think there are 3 or 4 teams who are clearly at the top (I wont name them) and 2 teams that are obviously at the bottom (Bulls and Snipers are all CPU). Aside from those 6 I think the other 10 are all about even with a few having a slight edge.

Elephant was looking weaker again this year as usual. Seeing as how I dont play there ill be happy to list my personal opinion on the top teams. I think the Chopaholixs are going to come in and dominate, they are my early pick for conference champions. Id be shocked if they went 16-0, but I expect 14-2 or 15-1. I think the perenial powers of the Malice, Drifters, and Saints will find a way to get it done once again so I will predict them being 2->4 in no particular order. Its hard to gauge some of the new teams. None of them are true slowbuilds aside from PHP so we wont have any DD's. They were playing against competition weaker than the AAA level so its hard to get a good read but I think a few of them have a shot at being solid at this level. Going to be decent competition in Elephant as well.

The Choppa's, eh? Interesting pick...

Haha, have a better pre-season front runner gambit?

Well, I don't consider us to be the frontrunner. But I know we'll finish ahead of Kibwezi. That's just a given.

So it just kind of presents a conundrum.
