We never got around to this last season, but it gave us something to do the season before that
Remember it is all subject to change as people boost for the new season, day 1 contracts expire, new folks come on board, and people use ticket money to build a few more seats. Most of the teams are pretty well matched up this season so it should be a good one!
Doom: Last season was decent, and there has been some boosting going on over there. Starters look to be about mid-upper 20s. Plenty of stadium to support the payroll. Team B Stadium A
Pirates: Still in growth mode last season, should have an ok season this year. Looks like most of the team will stick together. Starters around L23 now, might boost later so call it mid-20s to start season. Also plenty of stadium to support the payroll. Team C Stadium A
Cardinals: Cardinals were in growth mode and erratic last season. Their roster this season also looks a little hectic with everything from 15s to mid-30s. I'm not expecting much from the cards this year unless they do a lot of recruiting. Of course considering the sad state of their stadium, recruiting is not going to be much of an option if they expect to make payroll. Team D+ Stadium D-
Ravens: Last season 95% of the team was CPU, this year the 5% have returned along with a full staff of L11 players. While the CPUs kept them in pretty good standing last season, the few higher level players won't be enough to keep them going this season or the next one. One thing the Ravens don't have to worry about is cash, with a huge bank roll and built up stadium. Team F+ Stadium A+
Trawlermen: Trawlers were consistently pummeled last season as they built their team up. This season they are fairly uniformily in the upper-teens. They still have a ways to go, but if they can stick together will have a good team in another season or two. Stadium still needs work, but should be more than enough to support their current payroll. Team D Stadium C
Oslo: Oslo has the potential to be one of the better teams this year with a roster in the upper 20s/low 30s. Stadium needs work as they don't have the inner ring completed yet, so this could be an issue later if they need to start buying L32 equipment or try recruiting higher level players. Team A Stadium C
Terror: Another re/slow build team from last season. Terror looks to be between L15 and 24ish, which will mean another tough season for them. After this season though, they will have a decent team if the owner can hold it together. The team has a nice start on their stadium for the future with 30K+ seats. Team C Stadium B
Huskies: Huskies are a farm team for another team, so their roster varies quite a bit depending who moves out and in. The core, however, has been gaining experience and should be able to put up at least a little fight. Because they are all over the place in levels, including some very low level CPU guys (?), I think their overall performance will be hindered. Stadium is in good shape to carry them forward. Team C Stadium B
B-dogs: B-dogs couldn't quite get it together last season and have decided to call it quits this season. Their players are already starting to leave. Since it is after season roll over, this team will probably become the league practice dummy. Team (F) Stadium won't matter
Bastards: And yet another slow build team. This one sitting at L20, managed to snag an 8th place playoff spot last year. Low payroll and decent stadium means no cash flow problems for the bastards. Team C+ Stadium B
Assassins: One of the six move up teams from the BBB, they are firmly in the low 20s. Last regular season was flawless, this season will be tougher for them. Decent start on their stadium should do them well this season, as long as they don't go recruit over their means. Team C+ Stadium C
Dragons: The Dragons only regular season loss was to the Assassins. The team has apparently been jetisoning the players that got them here and now sits in the upper 20s with a few 30s sprinkled in. With less than 20k seats in the stadium they could easily get into financial trouble later in the season or next season. Team B Stadium D
Red Lights: Kind of a mishmash of levels that looks like it hits somewhere around mid-20s. They won the league last season, but were not as consistent during the regular season as some other teams. With about 22k seats in their stadium, they will need to watch their finances closely. Team B- Stadium C
Shamrocks: Looking like they are following in footsteps of the redlights, the shams also are all over the place when it comes to levels, but probably averaging out in the mid-20s. Without some re-working of their payroll, this team will also need to watch their finances like a hawk. Team B- Stadium D
Stuttgart: Looking at the roster, one has to believe that they haven't finished making adjustments yet. They have plenty of O-line guys, but some areas like WRs are definitely lacking. They have a good start on their stadium with the inner ring complete, but still need to be careful that they don't come crashing down with "promoted into bankruptcy" syndrome. Team B- Stadium C
Tofu: Hmmmm, almost exclusively comprised of one-year contracts means that if this team doesn't at least make the playoffs, they will have a tough time filling a competitive roster next year. Roster is mostly 20s with a few 30s thrown in, but there does not seem to be a plan for placement of the higher level guys. Decent start on the stadium if they watch their money closely. Team C Stadium C
