As owner of the Port Harcourt Playmakers, I wanted to take the opportunity to say how much I have enjoyed this season and this league. The season for PHP started off in an uncertainity. Being a capped team that retained nearly all of our players, we stuck together and decided to not boost early and see what we could do. The projections early was a 13th place finish and a tough road to hold. Our schedule looked unfavorable as we were mainly lvl 23's (so no level 24 gears for most) and took some losses. Then, we started rolling and rolling and once we got to the playoffs we somehow plowed through four very good teams.
I want to thank minaras (OC) and TC40701 (DC) for their efforts this season. Both have been superb workers and coordinators. Minaras' efforts on these boards with prognosticating and representing our team has been wonderful. Tuxalqa is my right hand man and has helped me immensely. He is a super guy and excellent GLB'er.
I want to also say how awesome a group of agents, we have. I really am lucky to have a group of players that are team oriented. I have not heard one complaint from anyone in 2 seasons of owning this team and there were of course opportunities for that. These agents are what makes this team the success it has been. We take great pride in being the only team in the 768 teams formed last season to go back to back even after promoted. That is a special accomplishment done by a special group of people.
I want to wish all the teams here the best and some we will see in AAA along with some more very good teams. These boards have been really clean and active and any positive comment stated about PHP has been very appreciated because they are a reflection of my agents, not me. I have the utmost respect for the owners and agents of this league as all I have seen this season is a lot of people hungry to do really well which is what makes this even more sweeter.
