Week Two wrap up

Stockholm Screamin Eagles (1st) v Moscow Iron Curtain (4th) (50-42)

Wow - what a high scoring game!! While Moscow lost this game, they proved this year that they are serious playoff contenders. As predicted QB Mega Man X and HB's Ryan Seacrest and Speedy Monster were the stars of the Moscow team. If the D could have stepped up then the outcome could have been very different. But stopping the Eagles potent offense was always going to be a huge undertaking. HB's Rikky Bobby (Boo!! Hiss!!!) and Speedster McGee led the way, and the Eagles D - did enough to seal the victory.

Tyrrhenian Sea Wasps (2nd) v Warsaw Warlocks (3rd) (26-14)
For the second time this year the Sea Wasps fought off the talented Warlocks and sealed their place in the Alpha championship game. Both teams D played well, but in the end thr Sea Wasps just managed to outlast the Warlocks. WR Ben Cat was the standout for the Sea Wasps on offense, that little WR screen play very difficult to game plan against.

Week 3

Which leads us to the Alpha title game..

Stockholm Screamin Eagles (1st) v Tyrrhenian Sea Wasps (2nd)

The number one and two teams of Alpha fighting it out for the chance to play the Zeta champ next week. Really either of these teams would be worthy Alpha champions, and the match ups between the Eagles offense and the Sea Wasps defense will be great to watch. Can DE Karpet Muncher for the Sea Wasps get to the Eagles QB?? Will the Sea Wasps D be able to stop the star HB combo of Rikky Bobby and Speedster McGee for the Eagles?

Actually if the Eagles win tonight, they might like to send a gift basket to Moscow. I'm sure the Eagles coaching staff would have been very concerned about their D's lack of ability to stop Moscow scoring points against them, and I'm sure the Eagles would have learnt from that. For my prediction I've liked the Eagles all year and can't really see anything today that would change that..- (Eagles by 10)

Yeah, we let you down today. Turnovers cost up big time, something that hasn't hampered us all season. The Sea Wasps played us well.
