CDS is quite possibly disbanding, so there's another factor that can help you grab my Kicker as well. I'd like the chance to be your team's Special Teams Coordinator and for you to sign on my Long Snapper (Center Connor Nokes). He's all-around solid and built to block, run, and tackle a bit. Making him an ideal Special Teamer. I'd like him to be the LS plus being a "starter" on KOS and KRS teams (if you can't give me the Specials Coord job).

Here's my Specials philosophy.

Who to put where and who to use for Special Teams?

In my opinion any starter is automatically disqualified for Special Teams (expect for FB and TE - but only if needed). That also includes #2 TB and #3 CB as they play a big role for the team (it would also be nice to keep the #3 WR off of Specials as well). I think it is also a misconception that all OL are good for KRS and all defensive players are good for KOS. Think of the NFL, FBs and TEs are on Kickoff teams and CBs and LBs are on Return teams (just to give a few examples). After a few seasons of running two different Special Team Units I don't think Blocking (for KRS) and Tackling (for KOS) are the most important attributes for each respective unit.

For KRS, with the opponents running down the field full speed trying to make a tackle, I think Strength will prevail as it's all about just giving him a push to knock him off balance. On the flip side, you can have 100 in Tackling, but if you can't get down the field to tackle to return man, then what good does it do you?

So, what's the specific recommendations for placement?

KOS

1 and 2: These two are your wedge busters. You can afford to take a hit on Speed with high Strength skills. You may think DL, no question. But I would not use a DE or DT on Specials unless they have 40+ Stamina. The DL tires out the quickest on the game and the backups are generally very valuable to the defense. LBs or FB/TE would be your best bet. Possibly a backup OL if he has 20+ Speed. And a QB, yes, the backup QB can get some extra reps on KOS.

3 and 4. Basically you want more strength here, but would like to get a little faster if possible. FB/TE or LBs

5 and 6. The further you get outside the more speed you want, but and these spots you aren't totally on the outside so some strength would be nice as well. The safeties fit perfectly here. At times you'll have your most athletic backup LB here as a lot of teams only carry 4 CBs, so one of the safeties is moved to the CB slot on KOS.

7 and 8. They kind of go with 9 and 10, but saving from having poor tacklers as the last resort is a good option. Not that CBs (see below) are generally that much better of tacklers than WRs, but they're still better. So, yeah, WRs are good here. They have the speed to get down the field quickly and that sometimes can be just as good as being a sure tackler. Backup TBs with speed can work as well.

9 and 10. These guys are the gunners and CBs are the best position to use in the spot. Or like stated above fast Ss are good as well.

KRS

1 - 3: You need players who are athletic so that the returner doesn't out run them. So LBs, fast FBs or TEs, and Ss with good Strength work here.

4 - 6: These guys man the middle of the front line. Most KOS teams that I see like to put DEs or DTs in the inside spots to try and force fumbles. Putting O-Line across these spots negates FF.

7 and 8. Just like FB/TE plays a similar to the LB on KOS here the LB plays the role of an extra FB/TE.

9 and 10. Plugging about any of the left over backups in here would be good. Try to stay away from DL though.

10. Any spare part

Another thing is YOU NEED DEPTH! The first 10 are "starters", but I'd recommend putting another 5 on the list to act as "backups". If there's no depth and a player gets tired GLB will substitute the highest Energy player regardless of position (so that could mean the starting QB playing on Specials).

Thanks for all of the interest it surely wasn't easy to cut some of the teams off the list.

For the 3 teams still in it: Please PM, making sure I know what situation I'm getting into. Even if you have already told me, please reiterate what's been said so I'm 100% sure. It'll probably come down to who can offer me my preferred desires.
