I'd watch someone hit a wall....or even a metaphoric wall over a header corner kick anyday!!

...I think I still have issues with Australia getting knocked out of the last soccer worldcup because some dick Italian took a dive...and the ref carded our player!!??!!

I mean...man... you watch 90 minutes of a very even stressful game (that worldcup being my first taste in watching professional soccer) - and in the last minute the difference between the two teams is a cheating "take a dive" player!!! And then I'm told its just part of the game!!! WTF!!! how can you guys watch this crap!! I can understand why so much bloodshed happens at soccer matches - after that worldcup game I wanted to knife someone!!!!

.......calming down........calm blue ocean....calm blue ocean.....ahhh.... ok all better...

If I had of been there, I would have knifed someone.... Australia has only ever been to the World cup once before 2006, and then to make the second round..mate the whole country was behind the team...and to have it snatched away like that, buy a cheating $#@%$#$ - eveyone I know was gutted...

And football isnt tough on the body?

Jerome Bettis cant even walk without warming his knees up, I would say football is alot more physical then, kick a ball around yay, Football has kickers that get paid for that, while soccer teams have entire teams to get paid for it, yet Football also has many more brutal ends, complete ACL tears, severe concusions, and just think about there backs..

Dont get me wrong I played both, but er.. Soccer was just not as enjoyable to me.

Sweet, lets buy Fifa Soccer 09, and kick some goals!

Or buy some Madden 09 and Hit stick a 5'7 runningback and watch him fly.

football has more of the serious career ending injuries. But a study done (cannot find it for the life of me sorry) found that out of all sports, soccer has the most injuries. You were no protection except for some pads on your shins.

I can feel Betts pain, I cannot run now because of that injury to my knee. When it snows I have to keep it in a warmer.

You cannot compare soccer/football in terms of how tough it is on the body, they both have their demands.

Actually, I think a study showed golf to have the most serious injuries.

I'm not joking!

Lol, golf injuries.. I MISSED AHHHH! <Lifts golf cart up> (Crack).

And I did happen to watch Tiger Woods play with a complete ACL tear on his right leg, and that would mess up ALOT of people in even walking, let alone swinging.

Hes just a mutant of golf, its like taking Night Train Lane and letting him do what he did years ago to QBs now days, WHAM have fun in a coma.

Hahahaha- I know it sounds funny. But there are a ton of serious back injuries related to all the twisting and turning required for a decent hit. Do it right and you wear down your back after awhile. Do it wrong and you've screwed up your back a lot faster.

There's lots of other injuries in there as well. I'll have to see if I can find that study again- it's humorous but interesting.
