#1 (1) - Pittsburgh - After a big OT win over Boston, the Steel Curtain put their #1 ranking to the test with a home date vs #2 Washington, with the winner the likely regular season East champs.
#2 (2) - Washington - Taken to the limit in their last game by Habitual, the Caps' OT win sets up a huge showdown with #1 Pitt this week in a battle for East supremacy. A win puts the Caps in the driver's seat for home field advantage throughout the East playoffs.
#3 (3) - Florida State - A win over Atlanta punched their ticket to the playoffs, but the WarChant still have work to do to keep some playoff dates at home as they take on Habitual this week and Pitt next week.
#4 (6) Asbury Park - Another game, another win for the rolling Blue Bishops who find themselves at #4 in the latest PRs. A win this week over the surging LT Tyrants secures themselves a playoff spot while a loss could keep them away from home for the post season.
#5 (4) - Habitual - A tough OT loss to the Caps slips the Linesteppers to #5, and with a huge match up this week against the WarChant, the Linesteppers can't dwell on what might have been. A win and they're in the playoffs, though a loss wouldn't hurt that much as their last 3 games are almost sure fire wins.
#6 (5) - Boston - Losers of 2 straight, the Drunks took a heartbreaking loss in OT to #1 Pitt last week. Look for Boston to return to form this week as they travel to Gulf Coast to take on a less than impressive Sharks team looking to play the role of spoiler in the East.
#7 (7) - AggieFans - After floundering for 3 straight weeks, the LOD got back to their winning ways, defeating Choctaw 91-7 while keeping a game between them and LT for the last playoff spot. Florida rolls into town this week in a must win game for the LOD.
#8 (8) - Minn PPE - A much needed win last week over Florida puts the PPE at 8-4, and with a game vs Detroit this week, the PPE will likely use this game as a tune up for their final 3 weeks where they take on Boston, Washington and Florida State. No one is envious of that schedule, but the PPE can cause some damage and wind up with one of the top spots in the conference with wins in all those games.
#9 (9) - Lake Tahoe - With their 4th straight win, the Tyrants are back to .500, but with Asbury Park on the schedule this week, number 5 may be the toughest to get. The streaky Tyrants seem up to the challenge, and they'll need to be if they want to go to the post season. A loss doesn't eliminate them, but it makes the road a lot tougher.
#10 (12) - O'ahu - A win over Florida gives the Night Marchers their first winning streak of the season at a modest 2 games. Though practically eliminated from the playoffs, O'ahu can wreak havoc over the last few weeks as they take on teams battling for playoff positioning.
