These are 100% my opinions and do not reflect the beliefs of the the New Hampshire Hustlers in general in the least bit (minus coincidence). I won't have time to continuously update this but I felt it would be fun to do and would hopefully generate some good discussion. Any disagreement is welcome and encouraged, I'm a big boy so don't worry about hurting my feelings and telling me I'm a moron. Hope you all enjoy.
.) New Brunswick Scarlet Knights: BBB 15 bias or not, gonna have a hard time convincing me that NBSK is not currently the class of the East. Another successful season in the making behind the leadership of Nike-Joe.
.) New Hampshire Hustlers: Only loss is to NBSK, and has defeated Indy and RI. I know it's not good luck to rank your team high, but I'm trying to be objective and give a true rankings here.
.) Indianapolis Rush: Indy got a bad break by losing in "week" one to a very good Las Vegas team from the West. Other than that, there only blemish is a loss to NHH, and their resume includes being the only team to defeat Detroit. Edge goes to them for the #3 in my book. There last four games will let everyone know if they are for real or not.
.) Detroit Destroyers: Tough matchup with NBSK tomorrow and a meeting with NHH down the road, Detroit has been stellar game in and game out. Their record shows them as one of the best, but their loss to the rush still has them needing to prove something. What better way than taking on the conference's top team?
.) Rhode Island Wolves: This is a very good team. Take away the blowout loss to NBSK and the Wolves are a break or two away from being the #2 team in the conference. A future date with Indy provides them to opportunity to shake things up and prove how good they are.
.) Montana Grizzlies: This team is SO scary, I'm really having a tough time putting them here at six. I just could not give them the edge over RI considering the result of their head-to-head. This team almost took down NBSK, drew Rapid City in a tough "week" one matchup, and lost a shootout with RI. They are also my upset pick of the week to defeat NHH (bet against his own team? oh no he didn't!)
.) Destin Pigskin Pimps: Speaking of teams that I wish I could rank higher, the Pimps gave NHH a huge scare earlier in the year, and their three losses come from teams that are all in the top four of these rankings. Dates with RI, NBSK and Montana give them plenty of opportunities to move up in these rankings and prove me wrong (which most of you know is not too difficult in general).
.) Pittsburgh Powerhouse: The good news is that Pitt is the eighth best team int he league IMHO, whcih would typically have them in the playoffs, especially since they defeated Bowdoin earlier this season. The bad news is that despite that outcome, I predict Pitt will be on the outside looking in, no thanks to their out of conference loss to begin the season.
.) Bowdoin Polar Bears: A good team with a more favorable schedule than Pitt has to end the season (considering the current standings), they must take care of business in order to hopefully squeeze into the playoffs as the eight seed. Loss to the Powerhouse comes back to bite should they end up tied.
.) Manhattan Massacre: They get my nod over Buffalo when considering the remaining schedules along with the facgt that the Massacrre defeated the Beasts earlier in the season. Don't see them getting into the playoffs, but should contend next season after another Bort restructuring.
