Since upnorth haven't started any predictions yet, I'll try and get some together. A bit late to start now, but will try and get the good games done at least.
Lion:
Katanga Diamonds at Malagasy Bushmen
Malagasy better keep hiding in the bushes unless they want a severe ass kicking today. Katanga has been eliminating their opponents 1 by 1, with the Palookas as their latest victim. Malagasy is a bottom-3 team, and this game should be over pretty much by the end of 1st quarter.
Katanga wins 78-0
Red Sea Wave at White Nile Piranha
RSW is in shared 1st place with Katanga, and have yet to loose a game this year. They still have Katanga, BoB and Cape Verde to face tho, so every win is needed before their intense ending schedule starts. White Nile are 3-5-1 after the first 9 games, and their schedule taken into consideration, its hard to see them make the play-offs this year. Only 1 of their last 7 games looks like a definite win, and they have all the "big 4" left, and PHP and WoA aswell. So it will take a huge effort to get one of those play-off spots. The battle for White Nile starts today, ad their performance here should give a good picture of their ability's.
RSW wins it 42-21
Band of Brothers at Freetown PalookasGAME OF THE WEEK
This should be a great game, featuring the strong BoB team currently in #3 spot, and the newcomers from Freetown who has been very impressive, and currently hold the #5 spot. BoB re favorite in this game, but the Palookas have a great squad, and showed that they can play with the best in their match against RSW last week. This is the 2nd game for Freetown after starting the tough part of their schedule, and a win here would ge huge for them. Can Carson Porter and Lord Jon Snow make the upset for Freetown? Will be interesting to follow
Bob wins a close one 44-32
Cape Verde Headhunters at Atlantic Blue Jays
Cape Verde are back in the saddle, and are currently in #4 spot with a 7-2 record. Last week they destroyed the African Fire guys in a 70-6 game, and the Blue Jays could be in for a similar treatment. Blue Jays are one of the teams that have to step their game up to get a play-off spot, but this game will likely prove too much of a mouthful. Next few weeks are looking tough for the Jays aswell tho, so the performance tonight will be a good indicator.
Headhunters win comfortably, 65-17
Warriors of Anubis at African Fire
This should have been a really good game, but the recent performances from AF has been a big let down. WoA go into this game as big favorites, and they should move up the table now that the hardest part of the schedule is over, and their current place as #10 doesnt do their team justice. If AF wants to keep their play-off hopes alive and not have another team sneak by them in the table, they will have to get back to the game that won them the first 4 games of the season.
WoA wins 46-20
Burundi Hutu at Kilimanjaro Kamikaze
Kilimanjaro haven't been playing at the same lvl as most of the other promoted teams, and with a squad still filled with cpus look to be struggling to make the play-offs this year. Burundi looks to have out played their role this year, as the rest of their schedule is super tough games, and a current 4-5 record has left them too far behind it would seem. With a win here the dream is kept alive, but it will have to look good for the Hutu if they want to have a fair chance.
Hutu wins 37-16
Rhein Main Magic Mushrooms at Ethiopia Executioners
Could decide if one or both these teams get relegated at seasons end.
Elephant:
Only 1 game this week that has any chance of the underdog winning, and even in that game it's a long shot.
Dakar Dragons at Richmond RaidersGAME OF THE WEEK
Richmond are big favorites, and the loss Dakar suffered last week hasn't changed that much. Two teams that have impressed so far, so we will hopefully get a good game here and not a blow-out. This should be the last really tough game for Dakar before their late season clash with RMoG, in what will be a copy of last year's "Best of Africa A Tournament", so the players will give it their all, and a win today would be a big step towards getting a top-4 spot. Richmond cant afford to loose if they want to keep their distance to RMoG and Cairo, so this is an important game for them aswell.
Raiders are favorites, but cant put a score on this. So post your own predictions if you want
Real Men of Genius at Cape Town Shinobis
After this game, RMoG has 3 tough games in a row, so a win here today will be good to keep spirits high. Cape Town has won their 2 latest games, but still looks to be short of talent for a play-off spot. Shouldn't be a problem for the RMoG guys, who needs this win to stay as close to Richmond as possible.
RMoG wins 67-3
Cairo Crocodiles at Casablanca White Houses
Cairo is right up there with RMoG, chasing Richmond for the #1 spot. They already played RMoG, and lost, so they need to not only keep up with, but do better than, RMoG to have a chance at #1 seed. Casablanca shouldn't be more than a slight bump in the road.
Crocs by 52-7
Serengeti Wildebeest at Cairo Cannibals
Cannibals are still feasting on the remains of the Dragons they slayed last week, but there is always room for a bit of Wildebeest for dessert. Poor Wildebeest
Cairo leaves nothing but bones, winning 78-0
Trinidad Trojans at Rwanda Assassins
Lol
Zanzibar Leopards at Lake M'Zumba Cannibals
The once so majestic Leopards have faded away, and now only as cup cake team remains. The Cannibals should make shot work of them, and they need to if they dont want to find themselves out of the top 8 all of the sudden.
Lake M wins 67-6
Zimbabwe Black Rhinos at EEORG Bastards
EEORG needs all the wins they can get, as they still have games against RMoG, Cairo Crocs and Rwanda left, and with a current 5-4 record, things needs to start rolling if a top-4 spot shall remain withing reach. The Rhinos might as well stay home, their role this year has out played itself.
*Insert big win here*
Sierra Leone Head Shrinkers at Swaziland Semnikati
Swaziland has kept 100% the same squad that made the promotion last year, and have looked good so far. They are currently 3-6, but have had a really tough schedule, including a game against Katanga in the inter-conference game of week 1. This week should be a certain victory for the Semnikati, a squad i personally really like. Good balance, and an ability to make use of many tactical directions will make for a great team in the near future. A team to keep an eye on for sure. Play-offs this year might be a struggle, but not out of reach with a strong finish.
Swaziland wins 56-0
