Spaceman Africa thinks you need to know some things. The most important thing is that I while I think you will fight valiantly, your are going to be in the most intense pain of your life tomorrow if you try to touch the ball when I’m in the game. However, I’m a kind and caring person, so tomorrow evening, in that brief moment between impact and the lights going out, you are going to want to know why. And while I can’t answer all of your questions or make peace with your maker for you (after all, I’m the one finishing you), you can take comfort in knowing what motivates me to have done that to you:
Your team’s name is unpronounceable. Why is that? The life we lead is difficult enough as it is, especially for RB’s on other teams. At first I didn’t understand why you would try to make it more difficult, but then I thought about it for half a second and remembered a story I told one time to this girl in a bar, and how that became like a fairy tale that people used to transfer moral norms through generations before I invented writing. I know that is where you got the name from. I never told that story again because I was kind of drunk when I made it up and it sucked.
So now you know. Tomorrow when the impact causes the chain reaction that results in all the water in your body instantly evaporating and the rest of your substance being scattered around the field in order to providing nitrates for the grass. Just as the pain starts to black out your vision and the last thing you remember is your hopeless cry “Why?!”, just know that your team name sucks and I’m taking it out on you. Tomorrow you will find out why they named the continent after me.
