even bull rushing de would have to shed the block to get a sack on the QB thats why str aint that important with OT

i see it plenty when going up against a really strong DE. there's not a lot of teams that have them but 90 str 60 spd/agi DE will shove a 70 str OT back into the QB repeatedly.

A str de will always have to shed the block to get anything done in GLB. there is no such thing as strictly bull rushing in GLB and thats why OT dont need much str.

What makes you believe that? I have a RT. I had 55 agility. I gave up 5-6 sacks a game, 1 on 1. WTF is the purpose of 85 strength? 75 is enough. The RT only blocks one guy for the most part. Once the RB is two yards past the DE, holding the block accomplishes nothing. You're certainly not going to get out in space and block linebackers with 55 agility, assuming you pancake the DE.

Have you actually tried what you are suggesting?

You don't even have a tackle, how can you say that? There is such a thing as bullrushing. Maybe it doesn't fit some narrow description but the effects are the same.

I'd say it's the league, but players in my league are the same level as yours - I've faced plenty of opposition with 55 agility with no problems. I will of course take it to 60 probably with next seasons boosts, however really don't see a need to go above that at the ROT position.

I'm a have your cake and eat it to kinda guy.

Why try and decide which gimped build is better? Build a stud and be done with it. STR, BLK, AGI all to the +3 cap and you won't have much of a problem. Sprinkle in some speed and you are done!

How many LDEs with over 90 agility are there in your league? There are at least 4 in mine. Have you faced a 90 agility DE yet?

The 2 best DEs in the league are on my team. I wont say their agility, as Packman is in our league (and we sacked his "stud," hehe, but only once IIRC).

The +3 cap, as in only to 60? Not so sure about that, even gimped OTs are there

I was wondering that too. My OTs are also in that league, and we faced your DEs before bort gave a bonus to protect, so I don't know if things would be different next time. But my OTs both have str/blk/agi all beyond 60, with my left tackle with blocking well beyond 60 with 9 protect, and my rt with str and blk a good amount past 60. Both were extremely victimized by the DEs on your team.

Well, level 33 against 37/38, hard to really match up. I wont say anything about our DE builds, but I'd expect your LT to do much better if we meet in the playoffs - that 9 in protect will actually mean something now. The DEs on our team are basically "perfect" in my eyes. No wasted points. Have led the league in sacks two seasons in a row, despite having to split the stats between them =).

Well, if your OTs have agi over 60, I'd take a look at their speed... If its not softcapped that's probably why you got ripped apart.
