Round 1

#1 Bubonic Plague
v
#8 Iceland Ants

Plague big over the ants in a one sided affair. (Plague 63, Iceland 17)

#2 D'Haran Legion
v
#7 Rhine River Rhinos

Tough game for the Rhinos offense, real slobbernocker, with D'Hara pulling away as morale shifts. (D'Haran 35, Rhine River 3)

#3 Stirling Four Horsemen
v
#6 Frankfurt Green Goblins

Frankfurt throws down the stunner with the 1st upset of the playoffs, the Goblin DLine controls the line of scrimmage and wears down the Stirling ground game. (Frankfurt 27, Stirling 24)

#4 Royal Army of Copenhagen
v
#5 Tilburg Cheeseheads

HB Maxi Powers proves to be just too much for RAC as he keeps the game in Tillburgs hands. In the second upset of the playoffs Tillburg stays ahead in a solid battle (Tilburg 31, RAC 17)

Round 2

#1 Bubonic Plague
v
#6 Frankfurt Goblins

Bubonic comes out of this one full steam ahead, Frankfurt stays close due to great gameplanning. (Bubonic 35, Frankfurt 24)

#2 D'Haran Legion
v
#5 Tilburg Cheeseheads

The immovable object meets the unstoppable force as HB Maxi Powers looks across the field at the top run defense in WEBBB4. D'Haras defense gets them through this game as they win the battle in the trenches and keep Powers to only 117 yards on 31 carries. (DHara 24, Tilburg 7)

#1 Bubonic Plague
v
#2 D'Haran Legion

Rematch of a stellar week 3 game that saw the Plague get by after costly mistakes by the Legion offense. Improvements on the offensive side of the ball close the gap between the two as DHara sneaks by in a slugfest (DHara 31, Bubonic 27)

Championship Game
#2 DHaran Legion
v
#1 Essen Pumas

Essen takes the trophy home as DHara falls short of the trophy as Essen's depth gives them the edge. Great matchups accross the board will make this game one to remember.
(Essen 24, DHara 14)

--------------------------

I see Bubonic #1 right now, Dharan a close #2 or 1a in Alpha, Tillburg is the team at this point I see being a loose cannon, Stirling is undefeated at this point but will see some strong opponents in the coming weeks

Zeta has it's fair share of strong teams, Essen and Dresden are #1 and #2 respectively. La Tourette is definitely wild, they could chuck out the upset special, Casino Royale will also make some serious noise in the playoffs as either of these two teams could poop in some ones lemonade.

How very diplomatic of you, but I think DHaran has the better depth. However I will also take Essen, but in a higher scoring affair: 41-37

I am going to have to disagree with you on the Stirling game but I GM and have players on that team but I must admit it is a possible outcome as they look to be a very solid team.

Overall very nice write up thanks for doing this.

You got the result of the Alpha championship wrong.

Otherwise a nice write up - wildly speculative, of course, but nice all the same.

You don't think the aces are strong? We beat lots of the teams in the alpha conference. We could maybe go to the 3rd round, depending on who we play in the 2nd round.

wasted early boosts

+1

crippled any chances of getting past the second round by boosting so early and will face the possibility of being a 1st round upset special, particularly with a couple of the teams on the bubble in zeta

actually, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out in the playoffs- boosting early may cost you some xp in the end, but it's not going to be so much xp that you can't make up for it with good game planning.

If you are over a team by a few levels, then levels really matter. If you are just 1 or 2 levels apart overall, then they do not help that much. This is assuming everyone is building similar builds. If you have someone with a screwed up build, then you are hosed.

The game plan is what will really show the difference between the teams.

That you did. I thought it could happen too, I just didn't put it in writing.
