The top 5 are pretty secure as having a playoff spot which is a great showing for the new teams as 4 of the 5 are new this season. The next 2 teams are two old teams that should make the playoffs, but if they slip up, there is a group right behind them waiting to take their place. That group is a block of 4 teams who are fighting to move up to make it to the playoffs. One of this group will make it for sure, but it may be more than that because the two in front of them are very catchable. The remaining 5 teams are probably starting to look towards next season. So let's look at this week's games.
Wellington Assassins vs Newcastle Mountain Lions
Wellington has been dominant all season and that will continue today.
WA by 24, 45-21
Olden Swillers vs Alaska Wild
Simple game for Olden. Not much for Alaska to be Thankful about in this one.
OS by 122, 135-13
Perth Pirates vs Hamilton Falcons
A battle of two old teams, but not too much of a battle as Perth takes this one fairly easily.
PP by 25, 42-17
Sydney Sea Wasps vs Redcliffe Sharks
Redcliffe is in that bubble group of 4 wanting to move up, but this will be a tough game to do that as Sydney has been playing very well.
SSW by 14, 34-20
Newcastle Dream vs Apia Evil
Same as the last game, the Evil want to make a move, but the Dream has been on a strong roll these last few games and will be very hard to beat.
ND by 7, 28-21
Devonport Devils vs Saipan Stingrays
Not much to say about this.
DD by 207, 214-7
DECATUR STALEYS vs Intergalactic Sub-Mariners
DECATUR can gain a game on the others in the bubble group by taking this one.
DS by 21, 31-10
DHARMA Initiative vs Chippewa Predators
*** The game we have all waited for! *** Who will make the move from tied for last to be last all by themselves. This is the only possible game for either team to win all season, so who will it be? Chippewa gets a chance to live up to their name!
CP by 10, 45-35
Everyone have a great Thanksgiving! I am very busy for a couple of days, so there won't be much of a write-up this week. Sorry.
