I have played plenty of organized....and unorganized ball, state playoffs all 4 years in high school and a little less glamorous time after that. Nothing special...I won't claim to be some superstar, but I was there, started and played.
As for encountering a "Poly"...well I can't say one way or the other if I have, the guys I played against were just football players like I was, no matter their ethnicity or backrounds, but I doubt it would have been any different.
