This weeks edition isnt as exciting as some of the past matchups. I struggled finding 5 interesting games this week. Here are the weeks 5 best IMO.
***** MTD (5-1) vs. Samoa Gangsters (5-1)
This is a get your popcorn ready type of game. There is no more flying under the radar for MTD. They are a great team and are a powerhouse here in ZETA. The Gangsters have been REAL impressive this season moving up from AAA. Which proves, you dont need a title to be up here. There are many fine teams that can compete from the lower ranks. I have been very impressed with the talent level and classy owners that have come up from AAA this season. You have added a great competitive spark to our league.
PREDICTION: Gangsters
**** Canberra (3-3) vs. Cajun Crushers (4-2)
This is a four star game because it features two of the hottest teams not named MM or WS in Alpha. Canberra is riding a 3 game win streak while the Crushers have overcome an 0-2 start with an impressive 4 game streak of their own. This could be a battle for a first round home playoff game if they continue to stay hot.
PREDICTION: Crushers
*** Barossa (4-2) vs. Banzai Nites (5-1)
Barossa comes into this game steaming mad. They feel they should be 5-1 at this point as they had one snatched away form them on a hail mary. This is a dangerous team to be playing right now. The Nites had a tough loss of their own. This game is important to both teams as they try to align themselves among the top of the heap. A loss for either team here could be detrimental to not only playoff seeding, but making the playoffs in general.
PREDICTION: Abstain
** Brantford (4-3) vs. Brisbane Bandits (3-3)
This seemed like the next best game of the week. Two teams fighting to find an identity in Alpha. Both these teams "should" make the playoffs in Alpha, but seem to below the top shelf teams. This game could help both stay in the running for a home field playoff game as well.
PREDICTION: Brantford
* Aussie Cardinals (0-6) vs. Palau Bull Sharks (0-6)
The battle of perfection...err..imper, you get the drift. The winner here takes a huge step in fighting off relegation next season. Maybe they both play to lose this one (j/k). This should be a good game to see who wants to stay.
PREDICTION: TIE
