A couple of upsets and disappointments this week.
First, game of the week, big fizzle as CCC sends the monkeys back to the zoo. Monkeys stash of bananas stolen before game along with their shoes causing much poo throwing, but little football playing.
Then, Huskies topple the Cards. Guess the Huskies have been keeping a few secrets under those deceptively low levels. Good game!
And finally, Bastards take down the b-dogs. It was back and forth, but a 4th quarter fumble with run back for a TD probably decided it. Another good game!
Week 8:
CCC vs Easy. Too easy to predict, CCC widens the point gap. CCC wins.
BOR vs Ravens. Against a real team poor ravens don't have much of a chance. BOR wins, leavin the top two teams still undefeated BTW.
Monkeys vs Bastards. Monkeys have a grudge against Bastards from last season's upset. Can Bastards do it again, not likely as monkeys are a much better team this year. Monkeys win, unless that bobbit guy's hat falls off and the refs have monkeys forfeit game due to unsportsman-like conduct and plain just being gross.
Madrid vs Oslo. Oslo seems to be having some issues losing to both Doom and the ravens, which should have been inferior teams. But Madrid is much lower level than Oslo, so I'm going to put it in Oslo's column. Oslo wins.
Doom vs FHP. Ummmm, Doom wins.
B-dogs vs Huskies. Battle of the kennels! Huskies coming away with the upset this week look to make it two in a row. B-dogs are determined to start their win streak and aim to have the huskies for lunch. Sorry Huskies, have to go with B-dogs to win.
Cards vs Dallas. Same record, different teams. A fairly tough call. Dallas is fairly even and has decent depth. Cards have some higher level guys, but definitely have some depth issues. I think Dallas won't be able to stop the Cards starter HB, who will have a record day. Cards win.
Trawlers vs Ava. Ava season going along nicely and with near certainty guaranteed a playoff spot. No serious opposition for them in the trawlers. Ava wins.
