The saddest thing about ND is that their own fans were throwing snowballs at their players towards the end, and after the game. What a pathetic show of fan support. You would think their fans would give them some more time. I mean, fuck. Weis has a new 10 year contract to get things turned around. Does he not? Oh, and I got to think the Irish for making it possible for NU to get into a New Year's Day bowl! ND wouldn't have belonged their anyways.

I think the NBC contract runs out in a short while... when that happens I think ND joins a conference... I don't see NBC shelling out the dough for a bad team....
This problem started when the fired Lue Holtz... It was at that time that they really tighened up they admittance requirement. (don't forget ND, had a comittement from Randy Moss!). But they got caught up in this image thing and stop accepting players of lesser acedemic qualifications... IT doesn't really hurt their starters quality, but it kills their depth.
