or does the RG have to help with the NT?

i'm not sure, but the more I've seen this type of thing, the more I'm convinced that if the rg has enough vision, he won't double the nt unless he thinks it's necessary. I've seen a number of these plays where the RG just sits in the hole and hangs out while the C manhandles the NT. my guess is that if the RG's vision is even adequate, the real answer for solving this play is upgrade your C.

For what it's worth, this is my speculation as well.

which would be a better center for that play then

one with say

110 strength 80 blocking 60 agility and 1 in RUn block (no other run SAs)

or one with

100 strength 75 blocking and 50 agility but 4 in run block and get low?

vision improves your radius of picking up a blocker outside of your "snap zone." Thus higher vision, you pick him up faster. More agility/speed, you'd get in front of him faster as well. I'd say this is a vision/agility issue mostly. If you have 50 agility, then I'd assume its basically all vision...

Well, those two centers don't really add up right. The first clearly has more "SP value" those str/blk are probably worth 4:1, and the agility 2:1, whereas for just a few extra SAs.

But I wouldn't want a center without 4 runblock / 4 getlow if his support is leaving. I'm convinced that get low really helps push that DT back.

That is clearly the FBs fault, not the RGs.

That's the Strong I HB Off Tackle, the RG doubles the NT by design and yes that's the FB's mistake obviously.

Yeah FB should have picked him up. The NT is the RGs primary responsibility on that play. the C is doubling. The RG has to push him to the left.
