Movement from previous week in (_)

1. Vinland Vikings 5-0 (+1)

Blow out victory over the previously unbeaten no.6 Thunder moves the Vikings to the top spot this week but they can’t rest easy as there is a week 6 visit with the no.4 Revolution to contend with in the West game of the week.

2. Cold Lake Wolverines 5-0 (-1)

In cruise control at the moment. Appeared to take it easy against the Thundering Herd. They drop a spot only because of the strength of schedule.

3. Saskatchewan Sasquatches 4-1 (-)

Won as expected. Should pick up another victory this week against the slumping Juggernauts.

4. Revelstoke Revolution 4-1 (-)

Big victory over the Smoke coupled with the loss for the Thunder entrenches the Revolution in the no.4 spot. They face a tough challenge against the no.1 Vikings this week. It appears as though the preseason top 4 is starting to impose their will over the teams below them. The games between the top 4 are going to be very interesting.

5. New Orleans Ghost Riders 4-1 (+1)

The Ghost Riders appear to be finding their feet in Canada A6. They made their debut last season and found the going tough before making a late run at the playoffs. They have carried that momentum forward into Season 6 and now are starting to look dangerous. They must continue to win close games like the 3 point victory against the no.8 Juggernauts to remain this high in the rankings.

6. Calgary Thunder 4-1 (-1)

Big loss to the Vikings drops the Thunder down a spot. They have 2 tough ties over the next 2 weeks starting with a visit to the no.7 Smokers.

7. Greenland Smokers 4-1 (-)

Expected victory over the gutted shredders sets the Smokers up for the tough part of their schedule. In their next 4 games they play the no.6,2,4 and 5 seeds and they have already played the no.1 seed. If they come out of this stretch at .500 for the 4 games they will have done exceptionally well.

8. Northside Juggernauts 3-2 (-)

After a good start the Juggernauts have lost their last 2 games, the last by 3 points despite shutting out their opponent in the 2nd half. Things don’t get any easier in week 6 with the visit to the no.3 Sasquatches. With each defeat they drag a few more teams into the hunt for the playoffs.

9. In San Jose Pimpin Aint Easy 1-4 (+1)

That was a big and much needed victory over the no.11 Moosknuckles. They can continue their rise up the rankings with a week 6 victory over the sleeping Hibernators. This victory gets them back into the playoff hunt.

10. Moose Head Thundering Herd 2-3 (+1)

They were not embarrassed in their defeat by the Wolverines. If they can keep progressing they will have a chance at the playoffs. But they face a tough challenge the next 2 weeks against the no.5 and 3 seeds. It may be tough to come back from 2-5 and make the playoffs.

11. Mont-Joli Mooseknuckles 2-3 (-2)

Huge loss to the Pimps drops this team to no.12 and the playoffs look like a distant possibility at this stage. They can right the ship and get back to .500 with a victory over the no.12 Smoke in week 6.

12. Toronto Smoke 0-5 (-)

Another big defeat but at least they get a chance of a W with the visit of the no.11 Moosknuckles. Can they finally get rid of that big fat zero in the win column?

13. Kelowna Outlaws 0-5 (-)

Still looking for their 1st win of the season and will go on the road with hopes of getting it against the no.14 Blood Bowl.

14. Blood Bowl 1-4 (-)

They got a W but don’t get overexcited it was against the Hibernators. If they win against the no.13 Outlaws they will move up the rankings.

15. Saskatoon Shredders 2-3 (-)

They will remain in this spot until they lose to the Hibernators or the Hibernators pull out a shock win against another team.

16. Thunder Bay Hibernators 0-5(-)

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz is the sound heard coming from the Thunder Dome.

nice write up on your conference. I feel bad for the Juggernauts, they made a rookie mistake last season and it is costing them dearly this season, also it doesn't help that not many BBB teams came up on this side

LOVE IT ! Truth hurts a little when it comes to my team, but we will just keep tucking away this frustration and unleash it next year
