I watch my 30 vision center pick up blitzes and his responsibilities all the time. I've got a lot of unspent points and I'm trying to figure out what to do with them.

Is 45 speed 30 vision better than 30 speed 45 vision?

what about confidence seems like a total waste to me

I think Agility is more important than speed for a center. In my opinion, a center has to move quickly in small amounts of space, he's not running fly patterns down the sideline.

I'm not convinced a center's Vision needs to be much higher once it's soft capped (maybe not even that high).

As for confidence, I believe it's important for 2 reasons. 1) when your player is overmatched and 2) I think it has an effect on Field General.

Let me know what you think.

It'd help to see your build. Lol :-P

Vision helps the o-line pick up blocks in a larger radius, once either
a) nobody is assigned to you on the snap
b) you've pancaked your first assignment
etc, stuff like that.

I find this is often more important for the pulling guards or an OT to get a block downfield if the TE picks up the LDE on a double team.

As for speed, I see no reason to go above 30 at the C position. I'd rather have agility, vision, confidence capped before adding a single point to speed.

And I've also heard the theory that confidence helps line gen. The effectiveness of line gen is questionable...

I think it's more important for your RG and to a lesser extent LG as Octowned said. They have to pull on some outside runs and also pick up a LB every now and then on passes.
Is there a max morale cap in game? If so the effectiveness of Line Gen would be greater on losing teams. I have 4 linemen on one team and I have noticed that when my Center(7 Line Gen) gets subbed, my other guys come out pretty much the next play.

I think SPD is important for the C once your STR reaches a certain point. The C will pick up a LB if he's got enough SPD. The C often is unblocked or pushes his guy to the left or right and then is free. Such as taking out th MLB on. I agree it's probably more important for a G. Meaning a G needs to build SPD earlier than a C. But the C will need to build it at a point.

Where is your STR and BLK? I would get them to the 2nd soft cap first. Then AGL & SPD to 30. Then STR & BLK to 3rd soft cap. Then AGL to the first cap. Train VIS/CON the whole time. Then VIS/SPD/CON to first cap, AGL to second cap. Line General needs to be built up too. It's you most important SA. Pancake is important too. If you can execute pancakes at C, that's when the SPD will let you go get the LBs, but you got to have VIS to find them, and the CON effects pancakes too.
