(AP) The Alberta Irukandji of the Canadian A#5 Western Conference made an announcement shortly after tonight's game that they have fired their offensive coordinator. The move was made on the heels of a 28-24 loss against a Vikings team that was thought to be a 21 point underdog. The owner of the team, Lehi, had this to say about the move: "We came into the season with high expectations. When we looked at the schedule we circled this game as a win. If your'e going to compete for a championship you can't have these lapses. We had to send a message and unfortunately (offensive coordinator)quzur is the one paying the price." Upon receiving notice of his dismissal quzur expressed his thoughts about the situation, "First and foremost I want to thank everyone in the front office for giving me this opportunity to begin with. We built this team from the ground up and hit a snag. It is probably best for the entire organization that I leave." When asked if he will begin to search for a new job quzur was unsure about his future. From this reporters perspective it seems as if some change had to happen. This team did not blow out their competition in their wins as was expected and scoring only 24 points tonight was the final nail in the coffin. Hopefully this will jumpstart the offense ad get Alberta back on the right track.

Vik's look tough. I'm sure they don't see it as an upset. Was a good game though.
