Stupid question... i haven't been following along here, so I might have missed something, but if you start with 5 points per team and always add 1 and subtract one, why aren't you at a multiple of 5 anymore?

66 New England
87 New Orleans Saints
This is pretty pointless at this point. Can we just call the Patriots AFC champs and the Saints the NFC champs? Lol

5+1 = 6 (not a multiple of five...)

You know the game where you whisper something and you have to pass it all around the room and see what the message ends up being? With 18 pages and a lot of copying/pasting theres a chance someone forgot to actually add in a plus one or subtract a -1 when they posted. No big deal, the numbers are relatively right.

I don't know, did the Patriots* get some film on the Saints or something?

Saints look like a 21 pt favorite, so lets just say the Saints are the Superbowl Champs!
As a Saints fan, this might be the only Superbowl Championship we will ever see.

I'm willing to concede to the Saints.

Yeah but you are not necessarily always adding one and subtracting one from the same team...
