Movement from previous week in (_)
1. Cold Lake Wolverines (-)
An expected victory over the Outlaws sees the Wolverines keep the top spot this week.
2. Vinland Vikings (-)
Handed Toronto Smoke their biggest defeat of the season. Shouldn’t have any trouble against the Smokers but that could be an interesting matchup.
3. Saskatchewan Sasquatches (-)
Handed the Moose Knuckles their biggest defeat of the season. Have got back on track after their opening day loss. Next game against the Hibernators will allow the team to pad stats like everyone else.
4. Revelstoke Revolution (+1)
Dominating performance by the Revolution sees them rise 1 spot back into their rightful place in the top 4.
5. Calgary Thunder (-1)
Needed a 4th quarter come from behind TD to win a close one against San Jose showed that they are still a notch behind the likes of the Vinland Vikings. Will need to improve to get back into the top 4 but they should hang around all season.
6. Greenland Smokers (-)
Dominating victory over a Thundering Herd team that out leveled them. The Vikings should prove too much for the Smokers but if they can continue to beat teams like Thundering Herd they will easily make the playoffs.
7. New Orleans Ghost Riders (-)
Solid victory over the Hibernators keeps them in the same spot as last week. They should beat the Outlaws before they face the no.8 ranked Juggernauts in week 5.
8. Northside Juggernauts (-)
I was hoping to get an idea of where this team is at against the previously no.9 ranked Shredders but they went and disbanded giving the Juggernauts a free pass for week 3. Shouldn’t get disheartened if they lose big in week 4 against the Wolverines.
9. In San Jose Pimpin Aint Easy (+1)
Lost a close one by 2 points to the no.5 Calgary Thunder. Gained 1 spot because of the Shredders. It may be surprising to have an 0-3 team this high but their opening schedule has been brutal and it doesn’t get any easier this week with the visit of Revelstoke Revolution.
10. Mont-Joli Mooseknuckles (+1)
Expected loss to the Sasquatches moves them up just the 1 spot. Should defeat the Blood Bowl in Week 4 before they get a good test against the Pimps. That game will be a good indication of whether this team will have any playoff aspirations this season.
11. Toronto Smoke (+2)
Defeated handedly by the Vikings but that is expected when no.2 faces no.13. Due to results for teams above them they actually move up 2 spots. A playoff spot looks like a distant possibility even at this early stage and things won’t get any easier over the next 2 weeks.
12. Moose Head Thundering Herd (-)
The manner of their defeat to the Smokers has this team entrenched at the no.12 spot. They should get back to .500 this week but they face 3 tough tests in the ensuing weeks.
13. Kelowna Outlaws (+1)
Another big defeat for the Outlaws came as no surprise. Face more hammerings over the next 2 weeks before they get a chance at a W in week 6.
14. Blood Bowl (+1)
Similar to the Outlaws they are going to find it tough against almost every opponent. Will be looking forward to visiting the no.16 Hibernators in week 5 so they can record their 1st W.
15. Saskatoon Shredders (-6)
The 2nd team in all of Canada A6 to disband this season after only 2 games. They get dropped to 2nd last as they will be expected to lose out from here on.
16. Thunder Bay Hibernators (-)
Now they may have a chance of winning a game. Can they come out of hibernation against the Shredders. They will have to wait until week 16 to find out if they can win a game but until then it will be one painful defeat after another.
