I've heard people say that vision = reaction time. If so, would vision help me more here or would speed? I just don't understand why a guy with a bunch of agility just stands there while the DE runs around him.

So is it a vision problem or a speed problem?

My guess is Vision, but he had a wicked First Step so there's really not a lot you could have done. If you want to counter that you probably need 70+ agility, so I'd roll with 2 sets of equipment.

in order to know the problem, we would have to know all the elements in the equation.

What is your AGI/SPD/VIS

you need 10-15 more speed to even think about getting in front of the DE

SPD/VIS should be soft capped.

It makes no sense to me though, because this only happened on the first series. The rest of the game, my player basically shut this guy out. To me, it looks like he reacted way too slowly while the defender had a great reaction. The rest of the game wasn't really a problem.

I just don't understand why an OT needs that much speed. It's neither a major nor a minor skill and it would seem agility would have more of a relationship with setting up to pass protect. I think I'll work on vision first and keep training speed like a fiend.

that's agility more than speed imo. if he got you on the inside move that worked last season, that would be speed. it could be that you wear that end down by run blocking and he didn't have the stamina to keep making that outside rush.

That is odd, because mine is AGI 40, SPD 32, VIS 35, and I haven't had that happen. Maybe you tripped?

What baffled me the most was how the rest of the game went. On the first series this guy got around me 3 times in a row with that outside move. For the rest of the game, though, my guy was staying right with him (I have a really high amount of blocking so once my guy got a hand on him he didn't really go anywhere). It's not as if we're a heavy running team that wore him out. Either he has incredibly low stamina/strength or it was just some really bad luck with the sim.
