Narrator: On the blustery gridiron of Laval Field the chilly gloom of defeat freezes the confidence of the Thunder Bay Sabertooths as the Lumberjacks look to bring down the axe of defeat in the waning minutes of a 31-0 contest.
Mister Mann settles the Laval crowd with steam rising from his arms and frozen breath billowing from beneath his helmet. The lineman make a few checks and the fatigued defensive unit across the line shift anxiously. Over the low din of the crowd, Mann shouts a few indistinguishable commands and suddenly the players snap to life. The field becomes muddled with streaking flashes of different jerseys with the exception of one player who has seemingly appeared from no where in the huge expanse of midfield. Uncovered, Mann releases a beeline pass into the chest of one Flex Apollo, the ball pounding the space between the eight and the nine on his jersey before being cradled and secured in the tight end's arms.
Narrator: In a lopsided contest between these conference rivals, one man has stood out as having the Sabertooths number, number 89. Mann finds the big target in a massive opening in Thunder Bay territory and Laval tight end Flex Apollo begins his fated rumble down the snowy field.
Flex turns, digging his cleats into the slick slush until they dig into the hardened field below. Churning his legs forward, he spots Sabertooths SS Whoyo Grandaddy sprinting towards him from the right side of the field. He grips the ball a little tighter and leans his shoulder down, ready to inflict a powerful impact. As they collide, Flex is jarred a foot to the left, but loses no steam as he sends the smaller player hurtling to the ground in the opposite direction.
Narrator: Thunder Bay safety Whoyo Grandaddy attempts to stop the would-be mountain man of Laval's wintry hills, but finds that lacks the load sufficient to halt him in his snowy tracks.
The tight end sees nothing but daylight now, the entire offense and defense now trailing five yards or more behind him. He begins pumping his legs as fast as he can go as the smaller, faster defensive backs quickly abandon their assignments and tail after him. As he reaches the 5 yard line, Flex feels something scratching at his calf. Is it fatigue? A hand? A preposterously large snowflake? Lesser men were left to wonder this as he dives and slides into the endzone capping a convincing Laval victory.
Narrator: Thunder Bay cornerback CamRon Giles exhausts all he has left, but finds that grasping at shoestrings is not enough to stop the monstrous Laval tight end as he shouts "TIMBER!" with a final blow to the Sabertooths in their 38-0 defeat.
