I thought I would share some of the interviews from our post game celebration with everyone watching the championship game at home.

EA: Hi! I'm Erin Andrews, and this is Michelle Tafoya, we are in the Amsterdam Fire's Locker Room, as they have been deemed, "God's Own" after this Instant Classic League Championship game, where they have beaten Helinki Hammer's 34-31!
MT: It was a truly exciting game, as you can see but my shirt, that i am really really excited, in fact, i see DGB, i will be back in an back in a little bit..... *goes to DGB, whispers something to him, and they move towards the shower with a stall to avoid the prying media*
EA: Well, I am here with Amsterdam Fire's Special Teams coach, Flushing21! Coach, how does it feel?!?!
CF: Well, it is kinda cold, very wet, and fizzy!!!!
EA: I was talking about the game coach, not the champagne shower!!!
CF: Oh, well, it is just intense feelings all the time, no real true feeling is coming up, it is all of them at the same time!!
EA: How did your team play today?!?!
CF: Absolutely unbelievable, like God, Jesus, Muhammed, Allah, and all the Greek Gods were out there helping us out!! We didnt need their help, as we scrimmaged them before on Mt. Olympus and beat their asses so bad, they tried to banish us to some wierd place where nothing exists, but we made an exit and got out in 10 seconds!!!
EA: Can you give us your thoughts on anything?!?!?
CF: I really appreciate Helsinki coming out and giving us their best effort, it was really nice to have a challenge finally!! I like to thank Nick Novak, for making that last field goal, as to provide this experience to these guys, they really deserved it, and the pressure was on him, and he went out and executed!! Cant ask for much more from him, he is an outstanding person, and friend, and he would do anything for his team!! I am proud to be his coach, and i am glad he listens in practice!!! Even though he wears battery operated, heated pants...
EA: Thanks Coach, i think i will go have a few words with some other guys now!!!
CF: Thank you Erin!!!!

DGB: Well Michelle, its amazing, the best feeling ever when you see ALL your team-mates, come together for one cause, and thats to be champions, the best of the best. Its the greatest feeling ever. I always knew this team had it in us to win it all. Michelle if you look in that locker room, there aint ONE person who is all about them. Everyone of those guys are team players, they put their HEART and soul into this game and into winning. But not only that, but we WON it for Coach Rob, Coach Nate, Coach PSU, and my drinking buddie, Coach Flush. We did it for them coz they believe in us and they gave us a chance. We wanted to repay them and we did just that.
MT: So DJ, whats next now that you won?
DGB: Well first me and Flush are gonna throw the BIGGEST party Amsterdam has ever seen, btw you and Erin are invited. *DGB winks at Michelle*. Not only that but my lesbian room-mates are bring ALL their friends, who also happen to be lesbians as well. ITS GOOD TO BE DGB. We gonna get drunk man. Then i'm going to disneyworld.
MT: Is there anything you want to say to the fans?
DGB: oh yes, Fire Fans, thank you. From all of us in the Amsterdam Fire organization we thank you guys, every one of you for supporting us and that we ask you to continue to support us. You guys rock.
MT: Thank you DJ, i'll let you get back to the celebrating.
DGB: Thanks girl, but you'd coming with me.
MT: Ok *DGB picks up MT bridal style and starts to carry her off* *Michelle laughs* BACK TO YOU CHHHHRRRRIIIIISSSSSSS.

EA: Right right. So, how are you feeling now?
McNugg: First off, I wanna spread the love. The coaches' game plan was perfect. Everyone executed. Huge interceptions by the D. Offense just kept moving the ball. Oh, and I have to mention the special teams or else Nick will kick my game balls, if you know what I'm sayin.
How do I feel? Well, lets say that I am happy that I accepted the contract that was offered to me by the FIRE. After my first three seasons of losing, I didn't think I would get anywhere.
Then, the clouds opened up and in the sunshine was Rob with a contract for a "winning" team with an "active forum". I said, what the hell? I like to talk and win. I rejected the five other offers immediately and joined this family.
EA: So, how does this story get told years from now?
McNugg: A warrior, beaten but still fighting, is found by a tribe of warrior victors.
The victors claim the warrior and win him over by showing the tribal women, beautiful and eager to please. The warrior takes his place on a strong defense in charge of protecting their home zone, effectively keeping other warriors from entering their home.
The warrior watches with amazement as the offensive unit of warriors consistently penetrate and invade the home zone of other tribes.
The warrior also watches with amazement and horror as the special teams continually kick the heads of the opposing tribes back in to the opposing village.
Through their continous teamwork and execution, the warrior finally stands with his brothers as the reigning tribe of the area. He stands now and knows true victory.
He later names himself Spicy McNugget and procreates across the entire globe, effectively creating Earth's warriors that are the only line of defense against the damn aliens that keep spying from space.
...I swear I'm gonna get that damn peeping-tom aliens!
EA: Alright...thanks Spicy.

CF: Well, it is really sad to see this team fold. After the game me, Coach Nate, Coach Rob, and Coach Scott, all went out with the players behind us, came out to center field, and announced that Amsterdam was no more. And the skies opened up as if the gods themselves were crying their hearts out. Not a dry eye in the whole entire stadium. We held a team meeting before the game to let the guys know what was going on, and i say it really put some, no pun intended, fire into their play. Nothing will be as sad as that day. But their are going to be great opportunities next year and into the future for everyone of us, and their is no better ending to this team, and everyone deserved this win.
MT: What are your plans for the future coach?
CF: Well, I have recently signed a coaching job at the Jakarta Cobra's, and my young apprentice Erik Ainsworth has a decision to make really soon as to join Malaysia British Colonials or retire early. He has been calling me and asking my advice, but it is his decision and i have no say in that matter what so ever. Also Kazan is folding, so it really lessens the workload i had previously had. The load wasnt that much, but i possibly may have many new young apprentices, aka rookies, that should keep me busy for a while.
EA: What is your plan for tonight and tomorrow?
CF: Whatever me, DGB, Spicy, Pounder, Coach Stache, Rob, Nate, and Scott, (not including some of DGB's roomates, Spicy's Spice Rack Girls Members, and all of the coach's loyal fans) can come up with at the Budweiser Brewery i was able to acquire. But the whole team and a couple guests are invited.
MT: there are rumors that you are looking into other sports coach, any truth?
CF: As a matter of fact, tomorrow is the last day of my hockey tryouts and so far i have made the team, the coach has never had anything bad to say to me, so i will take that as a plus.
*Spicy and DGB are standing behind coach doing random stuff, and spicy is acting like a warrior cheif*
*without even looking, coach yells, "Spicy, DGB! Two laps up and down the stadium stairs!"*
*coach leans over to Erin and Michelle, "watch this ladies...."*
*they leave and come back in 3 mins. hardly out of breath, coach fully knows they did the whole two laps*
EA/MT: WTF??????? did they even do the whole two laps, up AND DOWN the stairs????????
CF: Oh yeah, they have had to do a lot of running since the start of last season, so the running is the easy part. And the media wonders why we win so much? Because we have the stamina of the Gods, in fact, we are the Gods! People wonder if Zues really exists, hell yeah he does, that is Coach Rob! Flyboy Jones is Apollo, DGB and his lineman buddies are Buddha with a whole bunch of leg power, Nick Novak is Athena...long story there.... you get my point? we let Harbourmasters beat us that one time to show we had a little bit of graciousness in us.
EA: who is Spicy?
CF: no, spicy is spicy, who is who....
EA: im asking you who is spicy.....
CF: i am telling you, spicy is spicy, and who is not spicy..
EA: are you trying to turn this into Abbot and Costello????
CF: ...........kinda.........

EA: yes, thank you so much for making me believe in Fire and anything really is impossible, like how there really is a man out there that can talk to a quarter and make it come to him.....wierd.....

Man that was huge. I haven't actually watched a game play by play in a while, but that was worth it. What a slugfest. I was a little worried because they were running it down our throats, but we got the INTs at the right time, and our offense was running like clockwork in the second half.
Congrats Rob, you definitely deserved this. Hell of a team you put together.

I know, I know. The wife is all over me tonight... for good reason. We are champs. Real quick, I want to thank every single person. You guys all made this happen and I mean that. Their are so many little conversations and resignings and sacrifices and great play that made this possible. Just look at the contributions in the game. CF: Well, it is kinda cold, very wet, and fizzy!!!!

CF: Oh, well, it is just intense feelings all the time, no real true feeling is coming up, it is all of them at the same time!!
EA: How did your team play today?!?!
CF: Absolutely unbelievable, like God, Jesus, Muhammed, Allah, and all the Greek Gods were out there helping us out!! We didnt need their help, as we scrimmaged them before on Mt. Olympus and beat their asses so bad, they tried to banish us to some wierd place where nothing exists, but we made an exit and got out in 10 seconds!!!
EA: Can you give us your thoughts on anything?!?!?
CF: I really appreciate Helsinki coming out and giving us their best effort, it was really nice to have a challenge finally!! I like to thank Nick Novak, for making that last field goal, as to provide this experience to these guys, they really deserved it, and the pressure was on him, and he went out and executed!! Cant ask for much more from him, he is an outstanding person, and friend, and he would do anything for his team!! I am proud to be his coach, and i am glad he listens in practice!!! Even though he wears battery operated, heated pants...
EA: Thanks Coach, i think i will go have a few words with some other guys now!!!

How do I feel? Well, lets say that I am happy that I accepted the contract that was offered to me by the FIRE. After my first three seasons of losing, I didn't think I would get anywhere.
Then, the clouds opened up and in the sunshine was Rob with a contract for a "winning" team with an "active forum". I said, what the hell? I like to talk and win. I rejected the five other offers immediately and joined this family.
EA: So, how does this story get told years from now?
McNugg: A warrior, beaten but still fighting, is found by a tribe of warrior victors.
The victors claim the warrior and win him over by showing the tribal women, beautiful and eager to please. The warrior takes his place on a strong defense in charge of protecting their home zone, effectively keeping other warriors from entering their home.
The warrior watches with amazement as the offensive unit of warriors consistently penetrate and invade the home zone of other tribes.
The warrior also watches with amazement and horror as the special teams continually kick the heads of the opposing tribes back in to the opposing village.
Through their continous teamwork and execution, the warrior finally stands with his brothers as the reigning tribe of the area. He stands now and knows true victory.
He later names himself Spicy McNugget and procreates across the entire globe, effectively creating Earth's warriors that are the only line of defense against the damn aliens that keep spying from space.
...I swear I'm gonna get that damn peeping-tom aliens!

He has been calling me and asking my advice, but it is his decision and i have no say in that matter what so ever. Also Kazan is folding, so it really lessens the workload i had previously had. The load wasnt that much, but i possibly may have many new young apprentices, aka rookies, that should keep me busy for a while.
EA: What is your plan for tonight and tomorrow?
CF: Whatever me, DGB, Spicy, Pounder, Coach Stache, Rob, Nate, and Scott, (not including some of DGB's roomates, Spicy's Spice Rack Girls Members, and all of the coach's loyal fans) can come up with at the Budweiser Brewery i was able to acquire. But the whole team and a couple guests are invited.
MT: there are rumors that you are looking into other sports coach, any truth?
CF: As a matter of fact, tomorrow is the last day of my hockey tryouts and so far i have made the team, the coach has never had anything bad to say to me, so i will take that as a plus.
*Spicy and DGB are standing behind coach doing random stuff, and spicy is acting like a warrior cheif*
*without even looking, coach yells, "Spicy, DGB! Two laps up and down the stadium stairs!"*
*coach leans over to Erin and Michelle, "watch this ladies...."*
*they leave and come back in 3 mins. hardly out of breath, coach fully knows they did the whole two laps*

CF: Oh yeah, they have had to do a lot of running since the start of last season, so the running is the easy part. And the media wonders why we win so much? Because we have the stamina of the Gods, in fact, we are the Gods! People wonder if Zues really exists, hell yeah he does, that is Coach Rob! Flyboy Jones is Apollo, DGB and his lineman buddies are Buddha with a whole bunch of leg power, Nick Novak is Athena...long story there.... you get my point? we let Harbourmasters beat us that one time to show we had a little bit of graciousness in us.

I know, I know. The wife is all over me tonight... for good reason. We are champs. Real quick, I want to thank every single person. You guys all made this happen and I mean that. Their are so many little conversations and resignings and sacrifices and great play that made this possible. Just look at the contributions in the game.
