I'd love to get involved in this back and forth, but we've never lost to any of you. Oh, feels so good to be arrogant again.

Again???

Yeah, after our loss to NH last season I went from arrogant to just a little cocky. That lasted until we beat you in the final. Now I'm back up to full blown arrogant again.

Well, NHH is still around, so i guess we'll see how long you remain arrogant this time Nike. Be perfectly fine by me if we repeated the results from two seasons ago

To your credit, you were able to close the gap on us during the season because you were hungry and getting every detail right. Meanwhile we fell off because we never got challenged and never needed to change anything. So our tactics were predictable and our builds were not optimized.

That most definitely helped. NB is a great team all-around. No way we would have had a chance to win that second game if we hadn't lost the first one, but kept it close enough for once to have something useful to scout. There's definitely something to be said for having to gameplan and scout almost every game.

That said, I don't expect to see a repeat right away. NB looked a lot different in the most recent championship round than in our game, and we had to spend multiple days scouting, game planning and shifting the roster around for every decent matchup we could find just to squeak out that title game. I've spent less time on game plans for real high school football games than I did on that one.

Looking forward to seeing Salem and NB again this season, and I expect both of them to become powerhouses in the league from day 1.
