Yeah it was very similar to the pre-season game. One fumble turned into a score for you guys and we lost. Your d-line was very good. Tough game and one that Cardiff is proud to have been in. Good luck to you in the future.

Yep, Zeta got the scoreboard against Alpha again but I certainly don't feel badly about our performance. Great game Marcy!

I would guess that if Cardiff had a vote for Marcy's MVP of the year it would have to go to Burt Flaxton. In both our games this year he made a great ST play to force a fumble from our punt receiver. The scores which followed those fumbles were the winning differential in both games.

Hopefully we can both represent WE3 well at the AA level. For those that will be joining us because of the league restructuring we welcome the continued rivalries. For those that will remain in WE3 for another season keep the friendly trash talk going that I have come to love in these forums. I need something entertaining to read at work.

I'm still not that impressed.

Just kidding - you guys have a great team and y'all did just enough to beat us. Burt Flaxton and Stu Pitt were real difference makers in that game.

Thanks, guys. Cardiff...you were one of toughest teams we played & deserve to move up. I'm sure we'll cross paths soon.

Might not mean anything to you guys at all, but we still are the only team to defeat you this season. Even if you didn't game plan and all that blah, blah, blah stuff. It is still a very rewarding feeling for us to know that we were the only team to defeat you guys

Best of luck in the future and hopefully we will meet again rather sooner then later

Take care my friend you and your team are a class act one that the Wild look up to.

Cardiff you represented alpha very well also. Congrats at getting to were you are and good luck moving up as well.

Thanks s2weathers. I seriously appreciate all that. And trust me...it meant PLENTY to us. Because of that loss, our second round playoff game was MUCH MUCH more than just a step on the way to a trophy. It was a very interesting road.

I completely felt that if we were to win our conference & truly deserve it...that we would have to beat Loch Ness & you guys (Death Valley too, but Nessie took them out)in the playoffs. As for the regular season...We prepared for you as much as anybody, you just had our number that day.

And I doubt you'll be looking up to us much longer. Hell, you guys may be promoted and looking across at us at the start of next season. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. Good luck to you guys as well.

thanks s2 - we knew we could play these guys tough. It never feels good to lose but I think we all feel good that we even got the chance to play in this game and we played them pretty well

Excellent game, Cardiff. I'm always happier to see a good close game (that we win ) than a blowout when it comes to the title game.

I will be sad when they fix blocking on gunners next year because that was really an FS's only place to shine.

I am more interested in the way DEs are blocked more... DEs will interesting... I just wonder when bullrushers will get their due. My DE has more strength than 95% of the OTs in our conference, I'm certain of it. And yet he only has a few actual bullrushing sacks.
