A couple of days ago I rolled an advanced visor with +1 Protector SA for my left tackle. I purchased it immediately but today rolled an awesome advanced eye black that has +3 blocking but a +1 monster hit SA.

Should I buy the new eye black and ditch the visor? I really hate to give up the +1 protector playing left tackle.

Monster hit is completely and utterly worthless for a tackle. It may get triggered once in two or three seasons. Protector is 100x more valuable.

Yeah, I wouldn't be buying the eye black for the monster hit, but for the +3 blocking. My level 24 regular eye black right now has +4 blocking so just the first upgrade would make it equal.

I just wish the SA would be something even remotely useful for almost $100k.

Kind of like that +4% hold block +4% break block item that I rolled.

Where do you plan to be at level 40? Evaluate the points total of the gear based on your projected attributes at that point. Adding +3 blocking over the 1st soft cap = 6 skill points (if you are under the softcap it is only worth 3 skill points). Adding 1 Protect at level 9 will cost you +6 skill points (if you only have 1 level of protect this will be worth only 2 points). Look at your future attributes and pick the one that will be worth the most skill points to you.

I got one the other day that I need thoughts on...+2 stamina, +1 run block. Stamina is useful, run block is useful...but neither is great. I'd be putting strength into it, but should I even bother?
