That depends on what you want to have where. For example, if you want a player with 90 STR and 70 BLK, well...I'd take both to 68 raw and put all EQ onto STR. However, if you want one that is 80/80, you want to split them up.

I have been switching equipment back and forth from str, to blocking, to balanced. I have come to the conclusion that it really doesn't matter.

I have largely begun to believe this recently. I've started to wonder if I should forgo the efficiency of having my eq on str/blk for a potentially much more useful set of eq on agi, vis or conf. It'd have a much higher % change effect. I know it won't be as efficient, but as long as whatever I'm putting my eq into is over the cap, I think it might still be worth it. I'm not convinced having 100 str with 50 agi is THAT much better than having 85 str with 65 agi.
Having said this, I have also started to convince myself that having 2-3 sets of level 16 eq is more important than having 1 set of level 24 eq. (and if you are on a very successful team, multiple sets of 24 would be better than a single set of 32). 16 points to move around is nothing to sneeze at. It seems that having the ability to move 16 points at will is way more effective than setting +pass/+rush/balanced tactics in terms of having a strategic impact on any particular game as an indidivual player.

I guess it boils down to whether or not your team passes or runs a lot. I think if you pass a lot then it should be in blocking. and if you run a lot if should be in str. But I have seen a team full of guards and tackles with 100 str and they don't do as well as you would think, blocking for the run sometimes.
I think the balance of power is on the defensive line right now because so many o-linemen focus on str and blocking, and defensive linemen either go all out agility or speed. maybe if offensive linemen had capped speed and double capped agility with equipment it would balance them out? That's something I might look into. seems like a waste. But has anyone ever really tried it? But this would just be for tackles. because I know a guard and center do well with a ton of str. they can't always hold blocks the longest, but they do engage most of the time.

screw it im trying it. Im going to take my own L.O.T. damien steele and double cap his agility and cap his speed, then watch how he does. he already has capped str and blocking. at this point I want to cap them again, but i think i will try it just to see if it works out better. I can always retire him. lol.

For the Pancake SA, it says it is useful for "strong blockers."
Does this mean blockers who have high strength attribute or blockers who have high blocking attribute and thus blocking is considered their "strength" making them strong in blocking skill?

But it might make a difference if you are using Shock Block as well. And I think you could use the high strength with pancake for running and high strength with SB for those agile/speed DEs
