Don't know if anyone else is like me and a stat freak... but I came across an interesting one today.

I looked at the turnover ratio of teams to look at the effect on the games. Relatively simple thing to do as it is the amount of Fumble Recoveries and Interceptions minus the amount of fumbles and INT's your team gives up.

If only the Death Monkeys were better in a few more areas... +30 on the year on the turnover ratio is huge!

is it me tho or should all those ratings add up?

i mean if there is +300 added up between all the + teams, shouldnt there be -300 divided by everyone else?

if doesnt look (on a QUICK flick - i havent added them up really) as if there are a LOT more with + turnover ratios? the minuses do not add up anywhere near the pluses which seems a tad odd to me?

You're right. It's only just occurred to me that they don't make any sense.

Of course there can only be as many takeaways as there are giveaways.

I will double check but they seem to be correct by my calculations.

The Fumble Recovery stat I believe includes your own fumbles.

That would be why.

haha. ya, I wish there was a giveaway/takeaway team stat among others like 3rd down conversion %, etc.
