This might be a silly question, but my C just rolled +1 Run Block for $10000 and +1 Pancake for $30000. I think I'll go for the Pancake one, yes?

I would say the pancake one is better .Just cause it cost more Sp to get that skill up just curious was that the only stat on it no ability or % increases ?

Yea, not quite sure if it's worth it yet because of that.

neither of them. Run block is not an "expensie SA" and pancake is stupid because super high strength will net you pancakes galore.

First step and quick cut are what you want:

Quick cut: Helps you change direction faster to tay in front of the defender.
First step: YOu will initiate contact further from the LOS on run plays, and if it happens on pass plays, it will net you some time to get to the attacker.

I have first step on my center. Lovin it!!!! well worth the wait. (and the 20K)

i HAVE A RUN BLOCK ADV GEAR. i am waiting for quick cut so I can sell it. It came with +2 vision so i reluctantly bought it. Its crappy when you roll 10 times and that is the best thing that comes up. But i wanted some custom gear.

we must have near identical builds. I don;t have lots of pancakes because the DTs in my league are as strong as the hulk. Plus I am normally on no focus or pass block. He was built to backup the OT position and guard position as well.

Actually I'm backing up a better C, though I'm still third in the team in pancakes :/
I think I'll just pass on those two for now.

I was thinking of getting first step for my OT, also.... I'm tired of taking steps backwards off the line, lol, but I'll wait until Bort's changes next season to decide anything.

you are supposed to take steps backwards on pass block plays. On running plays you always move forward unless its a designed draw play.

I don't want to make a new thread, so how does +2 blocking and +1 Quick Cut sound? Would that work for the linemen, let them cut in front of their assignment?

Take the pancake SA one and live it up, because you'll be able to save a fortune in points.

How about +1 protect for a LOT?

I'd buy it for at least a place to store tokens. It's hard to find a worthwhile piece for a tackle.

Thanks! That is what I did...perhaps I'll find better later...but but by the level 32 upgrade, +3 protect won't be too shabby.
