He seems perfectly slow-built so far.

I take it you will train blocking up a bit higher before finding a team.

Will be interesting in a few seasons time to see if the levels you have forfeited by not being on a team for the first half a season will be compensated by your player gaining more from his auto level ups.

What are your plans for his future? I'd be interested to know how you think it is best to max out the build.

Character won't join a team (including D-Leagues) until season 10. During the off-season between 9 and 10 he will be level 12 with roughly 180 experience to go until 13. I will join a team and boost at that point, and level to 16 on the first game of the season. He will have 6 seasons of play before willing retirement. He will never be a level 40 character (I don't mind, it's not the point of my experiment.)
I'm going to train blocking and agility on intense until blocking is soft cappable. If agility is 30 by that time I will move to speed+stamina. If not, I will do speed+agility until it is. Once speed is mid 20s I will move to confidence+stamina.
Depending on how training looks as I level these plans will likely be altered slightly.

I have a player like this for every position on the O line as well as QB, WR, and HB.

I have a team, so I can periodically hire them with large signing bonuses then release.

You do realize that (if your initial roll would've been 28 rather than 27, it's possible) you could've actually softcapped STR rather than be 1 below it? I understand that it isn't that much of a difference, but now it'll auto-cap at level 3 because of the extra point from leveling that you centers get.

He's level 2, though, so it's really difficult to judge any kind of progress when you consider the fact that there really is no sign of any kind of progression at such a low level.

If you're looking for a short answer, though, good job! :|

Yeah, but I'll get one more extra point from intense training that'll go to strength. I was just anxious and wanted to see what my blocking bar would go to.

This, of course, is the best way to dominate a capped league. As you said, your career will be short and you'll never compete with the best of GLB, as even when today's top players retire, the upcomers will have so much more on you by level. But if you start a capped team like this, you'll work your way up the ladder very, very quickly which would be fun
