I'm having some trouble with the spreadsheet, so these will be completely subjective for the time being. I'll try to get Alpha done tonight, but I have to research them a bit as I really havent been following along.

POWER FOUR
1. Frankfurt Funky Monkeys (9-0) - after doing their best impression of the Patriots last season, Zeta's top team has taken advantage of a supremely weak schedule. We'll find out how good they really are in the coming weeks, with matchups against the Hitmen and Scoregasm.

2. Cosa Nostra Hitmen (8-1) - If not for a missed PAT against a bonus-abusing Rasputins squad, they'd be undefeated right now. Can they topple the Monkeys for the first time ever and take over the top spot? We'll find out soon enough. Either way, Ragu will be bringing the pain

3. Saratov Scoregasm (8-1) - Fell to the mighty Hitmen, but bounced back with impressive victories against the Dragons and Rasputins. The Monkeys will prove a difficult foe in a few weeks, but for now the boys in blue are basking in the glory. The only thing on our minds is the scrimmage against Newport

4. St. Petersburg Rasputins (8-1) - Took down the Hitmen in a nail biter, but were embarrassed on their home field by an impressive Saratov team. Are these dudes for real? Their next 2 games against Kazakhstan and Hill Valley should answer that question.

THE MUDDLED MIDDLE
5. Kazakhstan Dragons (6-3) - Looked good early on, but have stumbled since a beat down at the hands of the Hitmen. They'll be a playoff contender, but they'll find themselves outside the top tier until they can steal a win against a good team.

6. Hill Valley Deloreans (5-3-1) - Edged out the Dragons this week, but got stomped by a mediocre Berlin team. The bipolar middle teams make these rankings rather difficult. This week's game against the Rasputins will tell us where they really stand.

7. Secretville Offtopics (4-4-1) - Blame it on a tough schedule all you want, but the fact remains that they havent met up with the top 3 teams yet. They should still make the playoffs thanks to a weak Alpha match, but I cant help but wonder what happened to them this season.

ON THE BUBBLE
8. South City Chiefs (4-5) - A win over Kazakhstan could cement a playoff spot for this bubble team, but I doubt anyone could see them upsetting the #1 seed in that scenario.

9. Mississippi Marsupials (4-5) - Much improved from last season, but a tough remaining schedule. Could sneak in if the Chiefs falter, but they're on the outside looking in.

10. Berlin Crusaders (3-6) - They've played the tough teams tough, but also gotten smacked around by the weaker teams. They might make it in with 8 wins, but their earlier loss to the Chiefs makes that a major long shot.

THE FORGOTTEN ONES
11. Dresden Doomsday (3-6)
12. Bratislava Butchers (3-6)
13. Italy Guardians (3-6)
14. Grodno Demons (2-7)
15. Mad Dogs (1-8)
16. Flint Tropics (0-9)

well this sucks. I don't know who to cheer for. Two of the biggest big mouths playing. Who ever wins won't shut up.Newport will go on about the wave getting bigger and how those first two loses were flukes. Score will go on about them being better than everyone, when eeryone knows they will always be in third place. No good will come from this.

Well the first game was a fluke.....the second one we deserved to lose. Stuttgart is the number 1 team in Alpha........

I just wanted this game so I could tell steeve to shut up about how weak Alpha is.

Very nice write-up. If you need help with the spreadsheet send me a PM. I would not be opposed to changing the spreadsheet up a little. The thing that takes the most time is figuring out victories by opponents and it means very little for how much time it takes to calculate. We may be able to come up with a better formula to rank the teams.

I'm never going to stop saying that, you know. Alpha has 3 0-9 teams, and now a gutted team. At least Zeta teams are actually trying, even if they do suck balls.

Yeah, this bipolarness baffles me. We changed nothing from the Berlin game to the Kazakhstan game, yet we lose miserably in a game that should have been close, and we win a close game that we should have lost miserably.

ed zachary

1/4 to upwards of 1/2 is inactive at any given time, it sucks >:-(

we've got skilled leadership, but some of our key players haven't logged in literally all season.

Dresden may find its way up into "bubble" contention if we can keep things going. We only have 2 of the top 7 left to play (Hitmen and Offtopics)and a reasonable matchup for our alpha match to finish the season. probably get smeared if we do actually get in but we'll take it if we can get that far

No. We boosted for the Flint Tropics game. They are one tough opponent.

You'd be cleaning brown streaks off your leg right now if we actually boosted.

We boosted? As far as I can see none of our player's levels has changed...

edit: I just looked through the roster and saw that none of our players have boosted since like one or two guys in like week 3...
